Learning Objectives
-This module is intended to help the reader or the
participant in understanding the importance of
self-esteem, discover the barriers to the
development of self-esteem and self-confidence
and apply apply therapies for building self-
confidence.
Expected Learning Outcome
Explain how self-image
affects one’s feelings,
attitudes and behavior ;
Identify indicators of a
positive and negative
self-image;
Look into their self-
image, assess their level
of confidence and
explain how these affect
their present attitudes,
success and happiness.
Recognize the
underlying factors in the
development of self-
esteem and self-
confidence.
Discover and apply
basic therapies in the
development of a
positive self-image and
self-confidence.
• People succeed in life because they are
convinced they can. They believe in themselves,
in their abilities and potentials and at the same
time they honestly recognize their recognize
their weaknesses or limitations. As the saying
goes:
“ What we think, we feel,
what we feel, we act.”
Think that you are capable, and you will
feel confident and act confident. Act
confident and people will start to have
confidence in you.

  • 2. Building Self-Confidence and Self-Esteem Module 2 Learning Objectives -This module is intended to help the reader or the participant in understanding the importance of self-esteem, discover the barriers to the development of self-esteem and self-confidence and apply apply therapies for building self- confidence.
  • 3. Expected Learning Outcome Explain how self-image affects one’s feelings, attitudes and behavior ; Identify indicators of a positive and negative self-image; Look into their self- image, assess their level of confidence and explain how these affect their present attitudes, success and happiness. Recognize the underlying factors in the development of self- esteem and self- confidence. Discover and apply basic therapies in the development of a positive self-image and self-confidence.
  • 4. • People succeed in life because they are convinced they can. They believe in themselves, in their abilities and potentials and at the same time they honestly recognize their recognize their weaknesses or limitations. As the saying goes: “ What we think, we feel, what we feel, we act.” Think that you are capable, and you will feel confident and act confident. Act confident and people will start to have confidence in you.
