Treatment Process

Your orthodontic treatment will be planned and implemented by Dr. Carolyn, our specialist orthodontist.

She is approachable and takes a genuine interest in your concerns and treatment goals.

She will guide you through your orthodontic treatment from consultation to the placement of your braces, right until the end of your retention reviews.

Your journey to a great smile starts here.

Once you’ve made an appointment, we’ll send you a welcome email introducing ourselves and asking you to bring the following to your first appointment:

A referral letter (if you have one) - You do not need a referral to see Dr. Carolyn.
A recent OPG and Lat Ceph Xray (if you don't have one, a form is included in the welcome email).

Get your Xrays

If you have a recent OPG and Lat Ceph xray - you're ready.

If not, the welcome email has a form at the bottom which you can take to your local xray clinic.

These xrays are usually Bulk Billed to Medicare

If you are not covered by Medicare, these xrays cost approximately $60-$100

Attend your consultation

Dr. Carolyn will go through your concerns, assess your xrays and photos and discuss your objectives and review any risks and concerns for treatment.

She will then go through the various treatment options that best suit you.

You are now ready to embark on your journey to a great smile.

Braces Options

Fitting your Appliance

At this appointment, your appliance will be fitted.

It is usually a painless experience, but it can feel different as you get used to the new feelings.

You will be shown how to look after your new appliance.

Your teeth are now undergoing their movement towards a great smile.

Attend your appointments

The plan for moving your teeth involves a series of small steps where Dr. Carolyn will assess progress and make any necessary adjustments.

Have any breakages assessed as soon as possible by contacting our friendly team.
