Hi All,

Any idea what are the questions asked for an academic LOR for HEC MIM program?

Thanks

If you already have the LORs, you just need to upload them. I don't think there are any questions for that.
Alternatively, when selecting your way of uploading your letter of recommendation, you can choose the option for HEC to send an email to your selected referee, who will then be asked to write you a letter and upload it directly to your applicant space. In this case, there are a few questions that the referee needs to answer:

1. How long and in what capacity have you known the candidate? (1000 words max)
2. What do you think about the candidate's professional performance and potential (including any room for improvement)? (1000 words max)

Apart from this, your referee will be asked to rate your analytical, collaborative, communication and leadership skills.

Hope this helps!

These questions anyway are for professional LOR right!
1. What sort of questions will be asked if we opt to send an email to the academic referee?
2. If I decided to upload the free format, should the LOR need to have any University seal kind of thing to prove it's authenticity?

Thanks.

The academic referee form has the exact questions.
I'm not sure about the free format LOR. You might wanna drop an email to HEC's admissions team to clarify that.

Thanks for the update. Which other MiM programs have you applied to? And do you want to give any quick points to those who are putting final touches on their application yet?

Guys, I'm facing difficulty in acquiring an academic LOR, especially because it needs to be from someone who knows you well enough. Is there some workaround for this? Is it absolutely necessary and will the application be considered incomplete if I provide 2 professional LORs instead? Anybody else faced or is facing a similar issue? Please share

Since they have asked for at least one LOR to be from a professor, I would suggest trying to get at least one. But since you're finding it difficult, why don't you write to the school and find out if two professional ones are okay with them? If yes, you can explain why in the optional essay section of the application too.

Hope you're able to find a solution soon

Hi everyone,

Can someone please tell me if it is necessary to have your TOEFL online score sent to HEC directly via ETS?
On the admissions page of HEC I only read that it is necessary to provide an "English language proficiency test score report...".
So is it sufficient to upload the score report from ETS by myself? Or should I also pay for ETS to send my score to HEC?

I had given the IELTS exam, but I think it'll apply the same for any other language test - You need to upload the test score report that you must have received from ETS.

Also a small suggestion: whenever you're unsure about something in relation to your application, do not hesitate in contacting the admissions team. They reply promptly and it'll save you much time as well.
