This study reanalyzed data from 1990 to 2010 on the effects of highly diluted thyroxine on amphibian metamorphosis. Researchers tested thyroxine at a 30x dilution on highland frogs (Rana temporaria) in 20 sub-experiments over the two decades. They developed a method to normalize results across experiments of varying durations. The results showed thyroxine at a 30x dilution slowed metamorphosis, consistent with previous studies using other pooling methods. When pretreated with molecular thyroxine, frogs also showed slowed metamorphosis after treatment with the 30x dilution in most of 10 sub-experiments.
