Yokohama Decepticon Secret Base

"There's only enough room in this town for ONE boring black repaint, pardner..."

In 2014, Nemesis Prime was constructed by Doctor Arkeville, perhaps under the influence of Unicron, in his secret Decepticon base in Yokohama, Japan. The mad scientist used stickers to convert his clone of Optimus Prime into an evil being and was about to insert an evil soul via a Dark Energon Emblem Cookie. But before the clone could awaken, Yokohama Prime broke in and used his Autobot Cookie to bring back the inherent goodness of Optimus Prime. He was almost successful, with the stickers even peeling off. But his efforts were in vain as NAVI-ko arrived from another time and used her Yokohama Decepticon Cookie to win Nemesis Prime over to her side.

Nemesis vowed to replace Yokohama Prime as the Town Commander of Yokohama. Yokohama Prime recruited Kawasaki Prime and Mach Five Racing Prime to aid him against the evil clone, but they ended up being blown away by Nemesis's firepower. NAVI-ko met up with him and pointed out the nearby Transformers Expo. Inside, he declared his plans for domination, only to be knocked back by Optimus Primes and Bumblebee. Nemesis was helped to his feet by Nemesis Grimlock and another Nemesis Prime. The Nemeses then battled the collected Autobots.

But as the battle began, the Dark Energon in Nemesis Prime interacted with the Matrix, the AllSpark, and the Seed in the Expo, threatening to create a large explosion that would consume the Expo. Nemesis realized that somebody masterminded his very existence to produce this turn of events. As Yokohama was under his protection, Nemesis Prime risked his life by placing all of the Dark Energon energy into his stickers, which were subsequently destroyed by the observing crowd. He seemed to die from the effort, but, in reality, his true self was restored, albeit without any recollection of being Nemesis Prime. He called himself "Yokohama Convoy". Yokohama Convoy Selects.jpg

A Warrior of the Seven Lights resembling Yokohama Convoy was a member of the Red Order of the Primus Vanguard. When the universe-hopping Terrormander attacked the Red Planet, he was granted the honor of firing the Order's Matrix Buster by his commander Red Sentinel Prime as his corpsmen cheered him on. Unfortunately, the Angolmois Energy-enhanced Seacon proved too agile and he failed to hit anything. God Neptune comic 1

Toys

Lost Age

  • Convoy [Anniversary Clear Ver.] (EZ Collection, 2014)
Convoy was repurposed as Nemesis Prime/Yokohama Convoy by the Yokohama Transformers Expo.
A redeco of the Reveal the Shield Legends Class Optimus Prime toy with the Generations Motorbreath retooling (for accessories he does not come with), this iteration of Convoy is cast in red and black clear plastic. He has been retooled to include a magnet in his right foot, allowing him to interact with Lost Age Battle Command Optimus Prime and Age of Extinction Stomp & Chomp Grimlock.
What "truly" makes this toy Nemesis Prime/Yokohama Convoy is the addition of a set of stickers, which were only available for one night at the Yokohama "Transformers Expo" (see below).
Convoy was available at a variety of 2014 events, including on May 3 at a "Kids Walk" event at Fuji Speedway, in special packaging on May 16 at the "Transformers Celebration 2014" midnight event at the Sunshine City Toys"R"Us store in Ikebukuro, on June 15 at Tokyo Toy Show 2014, at the Aeon Mall in Kasukabe on July 19, and at the "Transformers Expo" event in Yokohama on August 9; at the Expo's preview night, attendees could acquire the aforementioned Nemesis Prime sticker sheet. Convoy was also available as one of three preorder bonuses for Cloud Roadbuster.

Notes

  • Nemesis Prime/Yokohama Convoy exists in the same continuity as the differently-named "Black Convoy", and thus warrants his own article.
