Indeed, when usurping, the move should be performed while suppressing the creation of redirects. To fix the mess you created, we'd preferably need an en.wiki admin, since it involves deleting all pages redirecting to one of the "Gacelperfinian (usurp)" account so the pages that have been left at Gacelp can be moved back. Should this happen again, do not rename the user before you have the remaining redirects deleded, as that reduces the impact.
The 46 pages listed in the expandible below need to be deleted and replaced by the same page that remained under the Gacelp username. Savhñ 16:51, 1 March 2017 (UTC)

  1. We can't recover passwords for other users.
  2. It is not possible to merge accounts and their edit histories.
  3. I don't know the processes for selecting adminship on the Ilocano Wikipedia; however, we can't simply grant you administrator rights there. You'll have to go through the community processes for getting adminship there again, since we have no way of verifying that you are the same person as "Tarong" (This is a security issue; imagine all the havoc we would cause if we took the bad guy's word for it and gave them adminship!)

Yes, I thought about that and the security issues attached to it. That's too bad. It is what it is. Thanks for the input, though. I will connect with the other admin there. In terms of security though, I want to make sure our site is secure. Can a Steward block the admin rights for my old username, Tarong, and just keep the username there for our site's history and its long edit history (in case I recover/remember my password)? I will just point to it with my new username account. The other admin at the Ilocano Wikipedia is Lam-ang and this is talk page for this, mostly in English --Omandra (talk) 21:19, 17 March 2017 (UTC)

Requesting user (me) has 80 edits. An SUL account (primary enwiki) exists for the requesting user, with 80 total edits on 9 wikis. PS. It does not appear to be the case that all of the user's edits were reverted immediately after they were made, nor is it the case that the user's edit history only consists of minor edits. Given this, I do not think a usurpation is possible here.

@Masclet~enwiki: The information at WP:USURP is outdated and is not up to date with current global rename policies. AnomieBOT only looked at local English Wikipedia account status and not global account status; when we usurp you, we must look at global account status because renames are done globally (It is not "fair" to usurp someone just because they had no edits on the English Wikipedia when they had edits on another Wikimedia wiki). Accounts are not usurped merely by inactivity, as I stated: if the user has made significant edits, they can not be usurped without their consent, so if they do not consent, the usurpation request cannot proceed. Usurpations are generally done if 1) The user has made zero edits; 2) The user has made edits that were all reverted; or 3) The user has made edits that were all deleted. There is no formal global usurpation policy but these are roughly the guidelines global renamers follow right now. —k6ka 🍁 (Talk · Contributions) 13:47, 25 March 2017 (UTC)
@K6ka: you should update your system if you think it's outdated and has errors (in my opinion I think it works fine). The usurpation page says I'm eligible for it so I (still) don't get your negative answers and why you regard over a dozen (20) of normal edits as significant and a sizeble number of edits... Furthermore this user who you class as a "significant" contributor (which is obviously not) stopped making contributions to Wikipedia almost a decade ago (2008), therefore this means he has abandoned the project, so I don't think we need his authorisation to usurp his name, as he's not an active user. Back then, renames were done locally so each individual wiki had more control over their own rename process. Now, as all renames are done globally, all wikis must now follow the global rename policy. There is no global usurpation policy yet but in general we follow the proposals and discussions set out at Requests for comment/Global usurpation policy 2. Lastly you continue to ignore my statement that "inactivity alone does not make a username eligible for usurpation" and continue to make your case that the username you are requesting is eligible for usurpation when in fact it is not. I have stated that iff the user consents to the usurpation then we may proceed, but if they do not, we can't force them to give up their name. I have no knowledge of any Arabic language, and cannot really evaluate whether the username would be appropiate. I however do think that if it's a standard translation of "Mad scientist", it shouldn't be a problem. Savhñ 18:54, 20 March 2017 (UTC)

The name he links isn't exactly identical to the one that exists. Since the other account hasn't contributed either, there is no reason, at least in my opinion, to usurp the account. However, should the difference be so minimal (which I'm not able to evaluate) that the alternate spelling could lead to confusion, I would encourage an usurpation. If it goes against ar.wiki policy and the user intends to be active on ar.wiki, he might want to reconsider his name choice. Savhñ 23:31, 20 March 2017 (UTC)

@Savh and K6ka: Thanks for clarification, I found the difference now (In requested name he use Persian letter (ی) but the exist one use Arabic one (ي)), and as I read here that we must not rename to Persian letter (Amir said: Just global renames should be aware of this similarity and don't rename to similar ones)- see this discussion! so as I read that we can rename to (دانشمند ديوانه) and not to (دانشمند دیوانه), because at the first name contain (ي) but the second contain (ی), thereby the username need usurpation! hope you understand me :) --Alaa :)..! 06:37, 21 March 2017 (UTC)
