I find Magoosh to be a great help for what I needed. I was rusty in the academic mindset so I needed to brush off the cobwebs. The video solutions and short video lessons on each topic were great. They were not too long as to be boring.
I also liked the adaptive difficulty in practice problems. This kept me with challenging practice without feeling too defeated. THe problem sets were slightly harder, but overall representative of what I saw on the GMAT.
I did have to supplement my studies for IR with outside problems, but as far as the core quant and verbal questions it was a great resource for me.
Database with more than 400 questions on verbal and 600 on quant. The Magoosh lessons are really useful in solving verbal questions, a part which I have difficulty tackling. The questions do help a lot in reviewing the different strategies that are highlighted in the lessons.
Although I'm not a native speaker, I consider myself very fluent in English. However, to score high in GMAT, you really have to learn from the basics again, because most of us (including native speakers) make a lot of mistakes when we speak. It is hard if you don't understand what GMAT considers right and wrong.
I don't have a problem with quant, didn't really make a very good use of the quant questions that Magoosh offers. But I do find the questions very similar to the ones I see in GMAT. The level of difficulty is just right if you would like to score well on GMAT.
I would advise future test takers who also have a problem in verbal like me to go through all the lessons first, make sure you take note of the strategies they emphasized, and keep practicing daily by answering questions.
I started using Magoosh last month, and the videos have been extremely helpful. It feels as if you're in a classroom with a real teacher. I would definitely recommend for anyone aiming for a 700 or above. I usually watch 3 or 4 videos a day and then on the weekends I take some of their practice exams or work on their problems. The site is very comprehensive and they did a great job on providing feedback. The initial diagnostics test can tell you where you're at and what you need to work on the most which I thought was especially helpful for me.
Overall very happy with the product.
Advantages:
- Price point is great.
- I would definitely advise to use it for foundation of quant.
- Videos are well structured in both verbal and quant.
Disadvantages:
- Would be difficult to get a 700+ just using just the material as there is no "advanced" section.
- The verbal questions could also be a little bit harder as I found them to be generally easier than OG questions, especially in CR and SC.
Conclusion:
I would say that Magoosh is a great starting point and that it should be used in conjunction with other sources. The price is definitely unbeatable and the user experience is great. They also have great customer service. I asked them for an extension and they gave me 1 month for free!
a) Magoosh has a very well defined structure for Verbal lessons and typically covers everything from basic that a non- native speaker should know to become more sound in solving complex Sentence correction and Critical reasoning questions. Also video explanations after each question are self explanatory and one doesn't need to look for any personal instructor to help with doubts. If in case, there is any doubt, instructors are very polite and clears the doubt with a very holistic approach over email.
b) Quant lessons contain every topic that are covered in GMAT syllabus and questions generally provide exam-like feel.
c) One area of improvement is that user interface can be made little smoother to switch between different sections, but that in no way hinders the study experience in long run.
I really enjoyed Magoosh. One of the things about the program itself that makes it so valuable is that each problem you do has a text explanation but also a video explanation. I did find their verbal section to be better than the quant section. You get access to a huge number of problems. If you are willing to take the time and go through each of their video lessons you will see yourself improving in areas you needed help with. As far as the dashboard I am no sure how accurate the score it shows there reflects considering my projected score for quant was way lower. I do believe using magoosh and their "study guide" gave me the increase in my score I was looking for.

Magoosh provided some of the best video explanations out there. I was able to go from a 610 to a 710 in 6 months (I am not a quant guy either) from this program. I supplemented it with EmpowerGMAT, which has a lot more tactics, but Magoosh was still my base for studying, reviewing, taking notes, etc.
In addition, their lessons are fantastic for those who want to start from square one and grow. If you have the time and capacity to stick to their provided schedule and really focus on learning from the ground up, Magoosh is going to treat you well.
I strongly recommend this service to anyone and encourage you to stick to a plan (1, 3, or 6 month).
The Magoosh GMAT Premium is the best course to build your basics.
Especially the Quant section helps you build the basics with the Video explanations instead of the dry written explanations. It is the most efficient Quant Prep courses available on Earth. I have tried almost 5 courses. Highly recommended to reach Q49 quickly. >Q49 needs proper timing and strategy that comes from giving a lot of Official Mocks and analysing them extensively.
Magoosh support team replies to your queries over the email that a lot of other courses don't.
Best way is to start building concepts with Magoosh Prep course and then move to only official material.
I bought Magoosh Premium subscription during the start of my preparation for GMAT as it was one of the cheapest options available in the GMAT test prep space. Magoosh can be a very good starting point as it really helps in building the basic during the initial stages of the prep. Now let me dive into the individual questions and provide a point of view on it.
Verbal section of Magoosh is not upto the mark specifically for the non-natives, cant really judge the course from the point of view of Natives. I would suggest non-natives to skip their verbal section.
Quants section is a great place to brush up your basic and practise low difficult questions. They have explained basic question of the foundation level in quite detail. It is one of the test perp company which comes very close to the GMAT level difficulty in Quants. But the platform lacks adequate amount of difficult questions. For quants one should supplement magoosh with gmatclub test and gmat perp question.

Magoosh course is very helpful for score improvement.I took verbal online course on the e.gmat. It is very helpful in learning about every topic from basics. It helped me very well to improve my SC,CR sections especially SC.
I am very happy with your practice questions They are very helpful in improving my verbal accuracy especially sentence correction.
Verbal: Live Prep sessions on approaches for SC, CR and RC are really good. My accuracy in all the three improved from 40-50% to 80-90%. The prethinking strategy and understanding for SC helped to reduce my time taken in solving them
