Wow. That really sounds bad with a lag like that. Sounds like something is crashing on the back side
I would not worry about what you can't control really. I would focus on answering questions.
GMAT online uses a whole different platform. There is no connection to the GMAT Prep system so you should be just fine in terms of this bug.
As to taking third party practice tests - I took those and there are differences but the difference is much less vs taking
OG questions on paper for example. The whole fear of non-official tests is manufactured.
You do realize that the world only had 2 official practice tests for about 10-15 years, right? People from 1998 till 2013 or so only had access to 2 official GMAT Prep tests. What do you think we did to practice? Of course we took Kaplan and Veritas Prep and Manhattan tests. Sometimes the scoring was imperfect (esp on the early 2000's Kaplan tests that would penalize you by 50 points) but that did not prevent us from scoring our 700's so be bold and confident.

It seems there must be some kind of an issue with the GMAT Prep happening. Quite a few folks have complained about their GMAT Prep software getting stuck. It really sucks. We have not seen this many complaints since the launch in December.
I have not seen a solution so far to this issue.
I believe someone suggested opening another window and logging in to the GMAT prep in that window to see if they can restart or continue the test in another browser... my test has not gotten stuck so I can't really troubleshoot it.... what about hard Refresh? SHIFT+CTRL+F5? Nothing?
Thanks,
bb, for your response.
It's not only "getting stuck" but also the exam timer running after you've selected an option but not moving on to the next question, sometimes for minutes!
I want to see where I stand in order to book the GMAT exam and the practise test cannot give a satisfactory result under these circumstances so I am concerned.
Should I trust the scores I get from, let's say,
MGMAT or VeritasPrep mocks and book the exam if I see score splits that I am aiming for?
Also, this brings up the concern that whether the GMAT ONLINE will also behave in an erroneous fashion (I have no center dates or timings that are suitable for me).
