There is no such a process . Apply simply division. That’s it.

first is c as each of them arent indivdually sufficient but both of them combined are sufficient ,next question its a option is a+b=ab and a=b doesnt necessarily mean ab=a+b (using a=3 b=3 example)

Worth noting though that such type of pure algebraic questions are no longer a part of the DS syllabus of the GMAT.

DS questions in GMAT Focus encompass various types of word problems, such as:

  • Word Problems
  • Work Problems
  • Distance Problems
  • Mixture Problems
  • Percent and Interest Problems
  • Overlapping Sets Problems
  • Statistics Problems
  • Combination and Probability Problems

While these questions may involve or necessitate knowledge of algebra, arithmetic, inequalities, etc., they will always be presented in the form of word problems. You won’t encounter pure "algebra" questions like, "Is x > y?" or "A positive integer n has two prime factors..."

Check GMAT Syllabus for Focus Edition

Hope it helps.

^

6

abs k^2-5k-10 = 100/25=4

k^2-5k-10 = 4 or k^2-5k-10 = -4
Take all to 1 side and solve for k = 7 -2 6 -5
7-2+6-5=6
