Hi
samwich,
Thanks for reaching out to us. Your work experience is very strong -- with multiple promotions, learning new skills/areas, and the selective development program too is a great signal of your potential. While that could make you too experienced for full-time programs, I think your profile fits nicely with the range of work experience levels in the Online/Hybrid programs you're targeting. It's also great you've been able to keep up with extracurricular/community activities (you do indeed sound busy!).
Obviously, the weakest part of your profile is your undergrad GPA, but that is longer ago and you can mitigate it with the higher MS GPA and your work performance. Your GMAT is definitely in range for those programs (though just a tad below Ross's 686 average). Hopefully, that plus the QR course is enough because everything else in your profile looks great to me.
Good luck!
Kate

Hi! I'd very much appreciate any feedback for my current profile.
Personal Information: Taiwanese-American, 34, Male, greater Seattle area (and looking to stay long-term)
Academic Information:
T25 engineering school in U.S., 2.9 undergrad GPA in biomedical engineering
Currently finishing engineering M.S. at the same school, maintaining 4.0 GPA
Just took the classic GMAT - 680 (41Q, 41V, 8IR). Not looking to retake it. Also took the QRC for Michigan Ross.
Professional Information:
Total of 11 years of diverse engineering experience. I currently work as a Program Integration Manager at a F500 aerospace company in the US, with one promotion in two years. I pivoted in 2021 from the medical device industry, where I worked in quality engineering supporting NPI, production, and quality systems for 9 years and was promoted 3 times (including being hired full-time from being a contractor). I've completed a number of key projects with significant business impact, including earning Six Sigma Green Belt certification, with a clear trend of increasing responsibilities and scope of work. Graduated from a highly selective leadership development program at my company.
Career and MBA Goals:
I would like to develop business acumen that I can apply to my current role, with a potential move to marketing or a customer-facing technical role at my current company after I complete my MBA. I'm interested for a flexible online program as I have a family and a busy job, but still value having diverse and accomplished classmates I can learn from, local/in-company network, and school brand. My company will be funding most, if not all, of the tuition.
Desired Schools (in order of preference):
- Michigan Ross Online MBA
- Foster Hybrid MBA
- Albers (Seattle University) Online MBA (safety)
Extracurriculars:
- Semi-professional violin player
- Church music director
- Part of the STEMx volunteer tutor program
Thanks so much!
