I gave my Gmat focus edition today and got 685 (Q90, V80 and DI82). I am happy with the score and this is on par with my expectations. I want to thank Gmat club and all the experts who have helped me achieve this. However, my verbal score is really low compared to most mocks (I did get V80 in one of the mocks, in others it was around 83-84).

I wanted to check if this score is good enough to get into top 10 colleges in US and Top 5 in Europe? Will V80 be a barrier in anyway and can it be increased within 15 days as I have other commitments post that and won't be able to give much time to GMAT prep.

I don't feel I can get a significantly higher score in 15 days (let me know if I can) but does having a more balanced score help?

Hi Ayushman14,

685 is a very good score, and you most likely don't need to take the GMAT again. Most schools focus on the total score, and even the schools that publish minimum recommended section scores should be fine with a V80. This doesn't mean that you can't or shouldn't take the exam again, but if you do retake, it should be for some other reason (not your verbal score).

All the best for the application process!
