11% of 80 = (80*0.11) = 8.8
11% greater than 80 = 80 + 8.8 = 88.8

Answer is clearly A.

There is nothing to explain \(x=80+11%80=80+8.8=88.8\)

Maybe it's worded incorrectly? "X is 11% greater than 80" does not have the same value for X as "80 is 11% less than X"

Even then, though, the answer would only be 89.8

\(x = 80 + \frac{11}{100} * 80\)

x = 80 + 8.8

x = 88.8

Answer = A
