Both the numbers are divisible by 11

So it reduces to:
273/182

Now both the numbers are divisible by 13

21/14

Now both are divisible by, yes, 7

3/2

Given that 3.003/2.002
= 3003/2002
= (3*1001)/(2*1001)
= 3/2
1.5

Hence option E.

(3.003)/(2.002)=(3+0.003)/(2+0.002)=(3+3х10^(-3))/(2+2х10^(-3))=3(1+10^(-3))/2(1+10^(-3))=3/2=1.5. Hope it is clear

There's a nice property of fractions that says: AB/CD = (A/C)(B/D)

Now notice that 3.003 = (3)(1.001)
And 2.002 = (2)(1.001)

So......3.003/2.002 = (3)(1.001)/(2)(1.001)
= (3/2)(1.001/1.001) [applying the above rule]
= (3/2)(1)
= 3/2

rewrite the fraction:
3.003
2.002
=3+.003
2+.002
=3+3*10^(-3)
2+2*10^(-3)
Factor:
3(1+10^(-3))
2(1+10^(-3))
=3/2
=1.5 answer E.

Gone for simple decimal division...
3.003/2.002= Step 1= 3003*10^3/2002*10^3
Step 2= 3003/2002 (10^3 crossed out)
answer: 1.5.
I hope its right and would be happy if anybody confirms me.

GMAT is here simply trying to scare us off by adding unnecessary decimals, turns out it is very simple

3.003/ 2.002 = 3003/2002 = 3 ( 1001) / 2 (1001) = 3/2 = 1.5

Another way to look at this problem is solving conceptually. That is, both denumerator and numerator are increased by the same proportion ( by 1/1000), hence the result of 3/2 won't change.

3.003
2.002

33 * 10*10*10
22* 10*10*10

Therefore, 33/22 = 1.5. Option (E)
