2D transformations are important operations in computer graphics that allow modifying the position, size, and orientation of objects in a 2D plane. There are several types of 2D transformations including translation, rotation, scaling, and more. Transformations are represented using matrix math for efficient application of sequential transformations. Key techniques include homogeneous coordinates to allow different types of transformations to be combined into a single matrix operation.
A Bezier curve is a parametric curve used in computer graphics defined by control points. It was developed by Pierre Bezier in 1962 and uses Bernstein polynomials as the basis. Key properties are that the curve interpolates the first and last control points, lies within the convex hull of the control points, and has its shape determined by all interior points. Higher degree curves are used for more complex shapes by piecing together lower degree Bezier sections.
Vikas Kumar presented on trigonometry, beginning with definitions and history. Trigonometry deals with relationships in triangles, especially right triangles, and trigonometric functions like sine, cosine, and tangent. It has many applications including architecture, astronomy, digital imaging, waves, and engineering. Trigonometry underlies techniques like triangulation used in fields as diverse as mapmaking, medical imaging, and computer graphics.
This document discusses the challenges faced by engineers in developing countries like Nepal. It notes that while there are now several universities offering IT and engineering degrees, issues remain around the quality of education and alignment with industry needs. Factors inhibiting development include a lack of resources and infrastructure outside major cities, as well as social perceptions that do not value technical careers. However, some positive trends are emerging, such as growing startup activity and IT jobs. The IT Society of Nepal aims to address these challenges through advocacy, training programs, and bridging the gap between academia and industry.
The geometry of perspective projectionTarun Gehlot
The document discusses different types of projection from 3D space to 2D images. Perspective projection maps points in 3D to 2D according to their distance from the camera center, causing effects like foreshortening. Orthographic projection projects parallel to the image plane, preserving sizes. Weak perspective approximates perspective projection as a scaled orthographic projection for objects near the optical axis and small relative to their distance.
There are two main types of computer graphics: bitmap (or raster) graphics and vector graphics. Bitmap graphics store images as a map of pixels and are resolution dependent, meaning they cannot be scaled without quality loss. Vector graphics use geometric shapes and equations to represent images and are resolution independent. Some common file formats for images include BMP, JPEG, TIFF, GIF, SVG, EPS, SWF and PDF. When using or sharing images it is important to consider any copyright restrictions.
Multimedia is defined as the integration of up to six different media types, including text, graphics, audio, and video, delivered electronically. It can include linear media like live streams as well as non-linear media like edited TV shows and movies. The different media types used in multimedia include text, images, graphics, audio, video, and animations. Graphics can be raster graphics made of pixels or vector graphics represented mathematically. Audio is sound energy that travels in waves, while video combines audio and a series of still frames that create the illusion of motion when displayed rapidly.

This document discusses various lighting and shading techniques used in computer graphics, including:
- Ray tracing and radiosity methods that aim to approximate physical light behavior more accurately but with higher computational cost.
- Phong illumination model that provides relatively fast approximations of light interactions.
- Calculation of diffuse and specular reflection components in the Phong model based on surface normals, light direction, and view direction.
- Different shading techniques like flat, Gouraud, and Phong shading that determine color values at polygon vertices and faces.
The document discusses various output primitives in computer graphics such as points, lines, circles, and filled polygons. It describes techniques for rasterizing or scan converting these primitives into pixels, including digital differential analyzer (DDA) for lines, midpoint circle algorithm, and boundary fill and flood fill algorithms for polygons. Specific topics covered include line drawing, circle representation, ellipse equations, scan line polygon filling, and 4-connected vs 8-connected pixel connectivity.
This document lists and describes 5 famous unproven conjectures in mathematics:
1) Fermat's Last Theorem, which states that no three positive integers a, b, and c can satisfy the equation an + bn = cn for any integer value of n greater than two.
2) Goldbach's Conjecture, which states that every even integer greater than 2 can be expressed as the sum of two primes.
3) The twin prime conjecture, which states that there are infinitely many prime numbers p such that p+2 is also prime.
4) Legendre's conjecture, which states that there is a prime number between n^2 and (n + 1)^2 for every positive integer n.
1. The document discusses various color models including RGB, CMY(K), HSV, HSL, and YIQ color models.
2. It describes the key components and properties of each color model such as hue, saturation, brightness. For example, RGB is an additive color model where primary colors are combined with light, while CMY(K) is a subtractive model used in printing.
3. Different color models have different applications based on their properties. For example, RGB is used for computer graphics and image processing while CMY(K) is used for printing and YIQ is used for television broadcasting.
The document discusses different computer graphics display systems and algorithms for drawing lines. It describes raster scan and random scan display systems. Raster scan systems sweep an electron beam across the screen row by row to draw the image based on values stored in a frame buffer. It also covers the digital differential analyzer (DDA) and Bresenham's algorithms for drawing lines on a digital display. DDA calculates increments to move the line incrementally pixel by pixel, while Bresenham's uses a decision parameter to efficiently draw lines on a raster display. An example demonstrates applying each algorithm to draw a line between two points.
The document discusses concepts related to basic illumination models. It covers key components like ambient light, diffuse illumination, and specular reflection that contribute to how objects are illuminated. It notes that illumination models try to approximate real world lighting in a realistic but not perfectly accurate way. The document also discusses challenges like accounting for all light rays reflected between nearby objects and having multiple light sources and viewing directions in a scene.

- Europe ́s youth unites against discrimination".
Patriotic Europeans Against the Islamisation of the West (PEGIDA) was founded in Dresden, Germany in 2014 by Lutz Bachmann as a Facebook group and weekly demonstrations. It has since expanded to demonstrations in other German cities. PEGIDA protests were criticized by German political leaders as promoting xenophobia. Surveys found typical PEGIDA protesters were middle-class, educated, employed males from Saxony around 48 years old. PEGIDA demonstrations used nationalist slogans and accused the media of lying.
1) Amin Maalouf is a Lebanese-French author who was born in Lebanon to parents from different religious backgrounds and writes in French.
2) Maalouf discusses how his identity is shaped by being both Christian and an Arabic speaker, feeling connected to both Christians and Muslims through their shared languages.
3) He believes that becoming aware of how our words can perpetuate prejudices is important, and that changing how we see others can help set them free from narrow allegiances.
This document discusses the gender pay gap and examines perspectives on career ambition and opportunities between men and women. A survey found that while most people believe equally capable colleagues should have equal pay and opportunities regardless of gender, fewer women felt they had opportunities to promote themselves or that gender diversity policies were implemented well. Real data showed the unadjusted gender pay gap increases with age and is highest between 35-44 years old. The document aims to raise awareness of ongoing gender inequality issues.
This document outlines the history of gender differences from the 17th century to present day. It traces the development of gender stereotypes during the Industrial Revolution and emergence of women's rights movements in the early 20th century gaining women the right to vote. Major events like World Wars and social changes like the birth control pill and women entering the workforce in larger numbers helped advance women's empowerment and autonomy over the last centuries. The conclusion states that women have taken on a much bigger role in society over this time period.
This document summarizes the results of a questionnaire conducted in Italy. It provides statistics on the age of respondents and their answers to questions about wealth inequality, the impact of gender and social factors on life opportunities, the relationship between poverty and human dignity, affirmative action, experiences with discrimination, and discussions of social issues in school. The key findings are that the majority believe the rich are getting richer and the poor poorer, social factors can negatively impact life opportunities, poverty diminishes dignity, and discrimination should be discussed in school subjects like history and literature.
1. The document provides information on the economic situation in the Netherlands, including average salaries of €27,156 per year, an unemployment rate of 6.9%, and a GDP of €680.30 billion in 2015.
2. It also discusses poverty levels, with over 1.2 million people living in poverty, especially those relying on welfare, single mothers, migrants, and the self-employed. More than 11% of Dutch children live in poverty.
3. The document presents results from a questionnaire on topics like discrimination, poverty, gender issues, and whether school is the appropriate place to discuss social topics.
This document summarizes key economic and social statistics for Spain. It outlines that the minimum wage in Spain was €655.20 per month in 2016. The average salary is €26,160 per year or €2,180 per month, a 0.52% increase from 2015. 46.2% of Spaniards had secondary education as of 2011. The population of Spain is 46.77 million with an unemployment rate of 20.8% (9.72 million unemployed). Unemployment rates are 19.5% for men and 22.5% for women. The average unemployment duration is between 3 to 38 months depending on prior work history. Spain's GDP is $1.393 trillion USD and GDP per capita
The document summarizes the results of a survey on discrimination regarding sexual orientation and gender identity administered to 176 students. It finds that students perceive some discrimination in Spain overall but less in their daily lives. While sex education addresses identity, it does not fully cover gender or sexual diversity. Most students report no discrimination at school and say they have not personally experienced discrimination due to sexual orientation or gender identity. Religious differences between students were minor.
2. DESCRIPTION ET DÉFINITION
description sera objective ou subjective selon les
propos de l’auteur.
1. Description d’un être vivant : Portrait
TYPES DE DESCRIPTION
2. Description d’un objet, d’une
discipline, d’une matière
On parle alors de
posture, d’allure (aspecto, pinta), de démarche
(andares).
dépendent d’aucun sentiment ni d’aucun jugement
description).

http://www.ieslascanteras.org/bilingue.php?id=10&optMenu=2
18. COMMENT ÉCRIRE UN PORTRAIT ?
LES PROPOSITIONS RELATIVES
La proposition relative est
une proposition
subordonnée reliée à une
proposition principale par un
pronom relatif simple (qui,
que, dont, où, quoi) ou
composé (duquel, auquel).
La subordonnée relative
sert à décrire, à définir, à
illustrer, à compléter, a
approfondir. C’est-à-dire
elle exerce la même
fonction qu’un adjectif
19. Déborah
Déborah est l’héroïne. Elle a seize ans, elle est jolie,
intelligente et assez sportive. Elle est assez grande et
mince.
