William Saroyan was an Armenian-American writer born in 1908 in Fresno, California. He published his first works in the late 1920s and early 1930s and worked as a screenwriter in Hollywood. Some of his most famous plays and films from the late 1930s and early 1940s brought him critical acclaim, including receiving an Academy Award. Saroyan went on to write novels, stories, plays and lyrics. He passed away in 1981 at age 72, with his ashes buried in both California and Armenia. Saroyan made significant contributions to American literature over his career.

They now follow 40 people total who contribute to their professional development, including other students and teachers. Some specific pages discussed are Teachers.Net, which provides inspirational quotes for teachers, Teacher Created, with many lesson plan and classroom resources, and Bullying Prevention, with strategies for addressing bullying. Although the author has not actively participated in discussions on Twitter, they have found various resources through the pages and accounts followed that support their professional development. Pinterest has also been beneficial for finding cyberbullying resources and sharing resources through public boards.

my tweets. The primary reason I do this is because I feel it
would be beyond irresponsible to not use this chance to
interact with more than a few score of future educators.
• I follow @EdTechUofA because they often tweet about
forthcoming events and presentations or developments in
the educational world
• I also follow Carol Tonhauser @cmt1 because I feel that as
an experienced educator as well as an instructor of young
educators she is a useful contact to have. Whether it be to
ask for advice, or to merely hear her views on educational
developments.
