Minor league update for 5/7/24

Tuesday minor league action, featuring some day games

David Davalillo threw five shutout innings, striking out two and walking one for Down East.

Gleider Figuereo homered. Echedry Vargas had a hit and a stolen base. Chandler Pollard was 2 for 3 with a double.

Down East box score

Hickory starter D.J. McCarty threw four innings, allowing three runs, striking out three, walking one and allowing a home run. Larson Kindreich allowed a run in two innings, striking out one and walking one.

Alejandro Osuna was 3 for 5 with a double and a homer. Quincy Scott had a pair of hits and a pair of walks. Sebastian Walcott had a hit and a walk.

Ryan Garcia started for Frisco, allowing a two run homer in 5.1 IP, striking out nine and walking one. Bubba Hoopii-Tuionetoa struck out one in 1.1 scoreless innings, keeping his ERA on the season at 0.00.

Aaron Zavala was 2 for 3 with a walk. Maximo Acosta was 1 for 4 with a stolen base.

Grant Anderson threw 1.2 scoreless innings for Round Rock, striking out two and walking two. Antoine Kelly had a walk and two Ks in a scoreless inning.

Cam Cauley, who is on rehab assignment, was 3 for 3 with a walk and a pair of homers. Esteban Mejia was 2 for 3 with a double.
