Which Players will Wizards Retain in 2024-25

The following Wizards players are either Free Agents or have non-guaranteed contracts. Which, if any do you think will be retained. Not addressing any players on two-way contracts at this time.

Tyus Jones; Free Agent; Either let go or do a sign and trade.

Anthony Gill; Free Agent; Gone

Laundry Shamet; Non-Guaranteed; Gone. Need to make room for young players.

Eugene Omoruyi; Non-Guaranteed; Keep (for now)

Jared Butler; Non-Guaranteed; Keep

Tristan Vukcevic; Not Guaranteed; Definitely Keep

BTW, Corey Kispert, Patrick Baldwin Jr., and Johnny Davis are all on Club Exercised Contracts for 24-25 season. Both Corey and Johnny will be making in the 5 mil per year range, with PBJ in the 2.4 mil range. The only possible cut would be PBJ, but I don't see that happening at least until after trade deadline. Johnny won't be cut because they would take too big of a cap hit for a player not on the roster.

This means there will be (3) openings on the 15-man roster, with two of the openings going to our (2) first round picks. The second-round pick won't likely be on the active roster this coming year. This could mean a free agent pickup or an eventual promotion from one of the 2-way contracts.
