Careful where you're pointing that, it might go off!

The name Six-Gun (also Sixgun) isn't just metaphorical; this Autobot soldier is literally a walking, talking mass of weaponry. Six-Gun is one of Metroplex's autonomous troops, and is composed of six of the Titan's guns. Along with Scamper and Slammer, he helps patrol and defend Metroplex's interior and periphery. Like his partners, he is mentally linked to Metroplex, and shares a similar personality. Perhaps befitting a living artillery battery, Six-Gun tends to be a bit more blustery and belligerent than his teammates.

Darn tootin'!

Six-Gun was part of Metroplex's investigation into the disappearance of Fort Knox after "dinosaur transform static" was found at the scene of the crime. When Sky Lynx objected to being grouped together with the Dinobots, Six-Gun pointed out that he had dinosaur electrons inside of him. However, Perceptor revealed that the energon cubes found at Fort Knox were made of a Decepticon formula, and Six-Gun realized that Trypticon must have been the real culprit. Thief in the Night

Metrowars

Six-Gun was stationed at Metrobase in Earth orbit at some point after 2035. When Metrotitan plowed through Metrobase to attack Scramble City, Six-Gun alerted his comrades at the city of what happened to Metrobase. Metrowars

Legends comic

When Metroplex was rebuilt in a new body, Six-Gun took on a new form known as "Six-Guns" (シックスガンズ Shikkusuganzu), losing his robot mode in exchange for becoming two gigantic cannons that could fly and operate freely of Metroplex. Six-Guns helped Metroplex defeat Metrotitan for good, then came with him to the Legends World where he and Metroplex's other components assured him they'd always be together. Bonus Edition Metroplex

Generations Selects Special Comic

In 2050, Six-Gun had reformatted again into a more traditional Cybertronian with a robot and flying vehicle mode, physically independent from Metroplex. He still worked with his old partner at Neo Scramble City. Volcanicus comic 1

You can't outgun a bot made of guns!

After an attack on Autobot City by Trypticon, things were looking pretty bad for Metroplex and especially bad for all the Autobots and humans inside him. With Scamper having been dispatched and Full-Tilt prepared to deliver the finishing blow with the Brunt tank, Ultra Magnus at last ordered Six-Gun into action.

Despite being made entirely out of guns, Six-Gun chose to resolve the issue by punching Full-Tilt in the face. He then proceeded to commandeer the Brunt tank and blast Trypticon with it. With Trypticon's controls being destroyed, Galvatron ordered the Decepticons to retreat. The Story of Super Robot Lifeforms: The Transformers #3

Why doesn't anyone wanna give me a high-five? I ain't gonna fire.
  • Metroplex (Autobot City, 1986)
    • Takara ID number: C-70
The Transformers Six-Gun only came with Metroplex, as he was composed of both of Metroplex's larger guns (forming the legs), both smaller guns (forming the arms), a tower (forming the body), and a tower top piece (forming the chestplate). An additional gun can be plugged in a peghole on his arm. This leaves Metroplex underarmed, and Six-Gun a bit overkill. Of course, the combination doesn't obstruct the rifles' pegs, meaning he can be used as a colossal super-gun.
Six-Gun was later redecoed into Metroshot.

The Takara Generations release of "Metroflex" was reissued as a TakaraTomy Mall exclusive under the Legends line, to commemorate the release of Legends Dinosaurer. As previously mentioned, the Generations Metroplex toy only includes Scamper as a companion figure, but the accompanying mini-comic identifies Six-Gun as the two detachable shoulder cannons.

I got a pair of hands!
  • Autobot Sixgun (Deluxe Weaponizer, 2019)
    • Hasbro ID number: WFC-S22
    • TakaraTomy ID number: SG-18
    • TakaraTomy release date: April 27, 2019
    • Hidden message code: METROPLEX
    • Accessories: 2 "W-5 Gyro Blasters"
Part of the second wave of Siege Deluxes, "Autobot Sixgun" transforms from robot to a Cybertronian VTOL craft (he's officially stated to be a tank,[2] but come the heck on). He is also compatible with the "Fire Blast" effect pieces from the Battle Masters assortment, which can be used to simulate blaster fire or explosions. His parts can also connect to the various 5 mm holes on his partner, Thrilling 30 Metroplex. Six-Gun also has minor battle damage hints on his shoulders and feet.
As a Weaponizer, he can also be taken apart and converted into weapons and armor that can be attached to other figures that use the C.O.M.B.A.T. System (or, really, any 5 mm post-compatible toys). He splits into the "MTX-50 Dual-Flank Boost Launcher" (upper torso), "MTX-S2A Guided Missile Launcher" (lower body), two "MTX-M2 Anti-Gravity Cannons" (legs), and two "MTX-LR Ion-Pulse Blasters" (arms), with two "W-5 Gyro Blasters" left over (which share their design with Siege Sideswipe's "gyro blaster", though it's not the exact same sculpt - the rear 5 mm peg is longer on Sideswipe's version). His instructions show three suggested combinations of these parts with other figures: the "Defensive Loadout" turns him into a massive anti-aircraft-gun backpack, the "Offensive Loadout" has a slightly smaller gun-backpack and uses Sixgun's torso as a shield, and turns his legs into "platform shoes," while the "High-Precision Launcher Gauntlet" re-combines his upper and lower torso-parts into a massive punchy-hand that fits over most (probably) Deluxe toys' arms, and some Voyagers'. In a bit of backwards compatibility twist you can plug a Mini-Con onto his arms thanks to the 5 mm ports.
Some Sixguns have their "toe" parts attached on the wrong feet. If the toes are pushed out of position when collapsing them down, they can be popped off and reapplied to the correct feet, allowing them to collapse properly. To pop the toes off, push them up from below when extended and attach them back in the same angle from above; this will avoid any stress to the plastic.
The stock renders incorrectly depict his torso's unpaintable joint, the head (in his alternate mode render), the elbow joints, and the lower red torso in white.
For whatever reason, the instructions for the Defensive Loadout show a pair of Gyro Cannons as part of the backpack...and a second pair attached to Sideswipe's feet. Needless to say, this is impossible with only one Sixgun.
After his initial release, Sixgun was re-released in the fourth wave of the Siege line. This unfortunately turned him into a shelfwarmer, with entire pegs often lined with unsold figures well through the beginning of the next toyline.
This mold was retooled to make Generations Selects Cromar and served as the model for Metroshot in the Legends manga.

Six-Gun, Heavy Weapons Expert is one of three standard sized character cards included with the Metroplex Deck. Like most character cards in the Transformers Trading Card Game, the card is double-sided, with foiled artwork of the character in Bot mode on one side, and Alt mode on the other. Six-Gun, Heavy Weapons Expert was made available as part of a ready to play box set, which also included Metroplex, Autobot City, Scamper, City Patrol, Slammer, Combat Drone and a 40 card battle deck.

Sergeant Six-Gun, Artillery-Soldier is part of Wave 4 of the Transformers Trading Card Game, War for Cybertron: Siege II. Six-Gun's Bot Mode is made up of two smaller cards, each depicting Six-Gun's Weaponizer modes, with half of Six-Gun's Bot Mode on the reverse. As a Weaponizer, Six-Gun begins the game in Bot Mode. Instead of being sent to the KO Area once his Health drops to zero, the card splits into his Upgrade components, becoming the MMX-M2 Anti-Gravity Cannon and MTX-S2A Guided Missile Launcher, and equipped in the appropriate Upgrade slots of one or more characters on the player's side of the battlefield.
The artwork for Six-Gun and his Weaponizer modes are based on the Siege Six-Gun toy, with the Bot Mode artwork being reused from the toy's packaging art.

Notes

  • Six-Gun presents some very big scale problems. Most portrayals of Metroplex show him as hundreds or even thousands of feet tall. Accordingly, Six-Gun—composed of weapons that are scaled for Metroplex's use—should be pretty gargantuan himself, but he's shown as a normal-sized Transformer. No fiction has ever attempted to reconcile this oddity.
  • Six-Gun has one of the more unique design changes when it comes to adapting his toy into a character model for the Generation 1 cartoon. Rather than making Metroplex's black shoulder cannons his arms like on the toy, the cartoon model instead used the little white protruding parts from the bottom of his chest plate piece as his arms and made the black cannons be his shoulder cannons. The only down side to this, is that due to it being an interpretation of at least one toy image reference, the little blaster that plugs into one of the black cannon barrels (as a means to give the toy a form of "pseudo-hands" and a weapon unique to him), is still featured in the character model, giving him a shoulder cannon with what looks like a baby cannon sprouting off of it. Additionally, the model also misinterprets the details of the black cannon closest to view, giving it a slightly differing design from the toy also. The end result leaves him with unintentionally asymmetic shoulder cannons.
  • Like most comic-original Kreons, Kre-O Six-Gun is made up of existing Kreon parts. He wears Soundwave's helmet, Onslaught's twin cannon backpack, and Starscream's clip-on arm guns.
