Starting after 3 July 2024, I will be out of town and thus unable to access this IP address. I will not be editing Wikipedia during this time. I expect to return around mid-August, though I may have a different IP address by then. —76.212.74.243 (talk) 04:10, 2 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hello 76.212.74.243, and welcome to the Simple English Wikipedia! Thank you for your changes. You are welcome to continue changing articles without logging in, but you may wish to create an account. Doing so is free, requires no personal information, and has several benefits, such as a username of your choice and your own user page. If you edit without a username, your IP address (76.212.74.243) will be used.
Either way, I hope you enjoy changing pages here and being a Wikipedian! Please remember to sign your name on talk pages by clicking or using four tildes (~~~~); this will show your username and the date. Also, please do your best to always fill in the change summary. Below are some pages to help you get started.
@Cactusisme: Thank you for the welcome, though I have in fact been editing Wikipedia for a while under several different IP addresses (typically, I end up with a new IP about once or twice a year). I currently do mostly basic maintenance and counter-vandalism work, though I am slowly beginning to expand my scope.
I don't intend to make an account until the WMF starts creating temporary accounts, after which I'll have to create an account in one way or another anyways. —76.212.74.243 (talk) 02:28, 30 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
This is the discussion page for a person who has not created an account yet, or who does not use it.
We have to use the numericalIP address to identify them. An IP address can be shared by many people. If you feel that things said here are not about you, you can create an account or log in to stop it happening again.
