@Pavlovič: Well, we generally only process requests from users who are in good standing. Google Translating the block message, it seems that you were blocked for vandalism/insults. Have you engaged in such behaviour two years ago?

Well I suppose the right to vanish does exist though. I might have argued with someone a few years ago but how can I remember? Checking my contributions on the Italian wikipedia I can see no reasons for a ban but, after all, there is no right to appeal such bans. @Allen2: Firstly, I do not understand what you mean by Did you reject that request for that reason and then you replied. I haven't rejected any requests made by you, not even this one. Secondly, we are refusing to handle your request because you are currently blocked somewhere, and there are a lot of reasons for that block as well. Renaming your account can and will confuse users, and many will expect that, if you're currently blocked and your current username is not a violation of username policies, that your username stays consistent and is not changed. Thirdly, your requested username gives people the impression that you have a sockpuppet account, and given your block on enwiki, this is undesirable, as using alternate accounts to evade blocks is a very serious offense that greatly damages the trust the community has in you. Lastly, username changes take up valuable server resources (They are not cheap to process) and such a privilege (There is no "right" to a rename) is only granted to trusted users seeking the rename in good faith. Oh, okay. I'll keep this username as this is a good username and "not" a violation of the username policy, I "trust" you with this one. Maybe another staff member (a steward) on Wikimedia rejected my request via email to rename my account to that username because I'm currently blocked somewhere and you didn't reject that request. The question: do you think that username I requested can be confusing and can be considered a "sockpuppet" because I want to rename this account to archive my older contributions after being unblocked (not before I'm unblocked) and then re-create the "Allen2" account so I can edit with this name with my cleaned out contributions and my other subpages? Hello. en:User:Gwaur was the unlinked English account of fi:User:Gwaur. As he stopped editing 3 years ago he didn't see the SUL unification warning and hence his account was renamed to en:User:Gwaur~enwiki. Could it please be moved back and merged with his global account. Being a departed user there's no reason to expect that he would respond to a message about this, however there's copious personal identifying information on both accounts to show that they belong to the same person.
