Deletion SUL

The following discussion is closed: not done

Hello. I ask you to delete my global (SUL) account. Thank you. Flamevox 12:24, 29 October 2009 (UTC)

Stewards don't delete sul accounts just like that, if You have a specific problem with the account name it and You might get help otherwise. Best regards, --birdy geimfyglið (:> )=| 05:23, 31 October 2009 (UTC)
The reason is the decision of renaming my account in local projects. If it possible, using SUL account?Flamevox 13:20, 31 October 2009 (UTC)
Accounts can be renamed even if they are attached to a global account, deletion is not necesary, just ask for a rename wherever You need it (I recommend to ask only for renames where You have made edits to reduce the number of necesary renames, unfortunately a global rename is not yet available). Best regards, --geimfyglið :^╡ 08:54, 1 November 2009 (UTC)

Usurp User:Ilya

The following discussion is closed: done by local bureaucrat

I want to usurp the following account - User:Ilya --Ilya K 21:29, 27 October 2009 (UTC)

Hello, Meta has local bureaucrats, please ask for renames there. Please note that usurping might not be possible on some projects if the accounts have edits, best regards, --birdy geimfyglið (:> )=| 05:22, 31 October 2009 (UTC)
This has since been done. —Pathoschild 18:14:03, 06 November 2009 (UTC)

Asking fm UkrWiki

The following discussion is closed: not a SUL issue

Best greeting from Ukraine. I'm UkrWiki's sysop uk:Користувач:Turzh, but now I'm writing this fm usual ip-adress, because after recent software reloading I can't log in under my original nick. I do really understand that I may address this at not correct place but I sincerely want to renovate my real username & keep participating in Wikipedia. Please give me helping hand. Thanks in advance. --93.73.23.176 20:52, 18 September 2009 (UTC)

Logging in at ukwiki works for me. What browsing are you using? Have you tried with a different one? What error are you experiencing? Platonides 21:44, 18 September 2009 (UTC)
Thanks to pay attention. I've changed password & even created other account uk:Користувач:IgorT & I beleived be finally able log in under my natural nick (sysop's nick uk:Користувач:Turzh), however every time I try, system make me as undefined user. My browser is Internet Explorer. --93.73.23.176 21:46, 18 September 2009 (UTC)
That is a cookie problem, Your browser needs to allow cookies, otherwise logging will not work, best regards, --birdy geimfyglið (:> )=| 05:25, 31 October 2009 (UTC)

Merge with an empty account

The following discussion is closed.

Hello, could you please merge the Plyd account on no.wikipedia.org with the Plyd SUL account? It has no contributions. Thanks! --Plyd 16:57, 24 September 2009 (UTC)
w:no:PlydcontribslogCentralAuthusurp

Stewards cannot merge account. Please ask a local crat to usurp the other account. Thanks and kind regards, —DerHexer (Talk) 00:11, 11 October 2009 (UTC)

I want to usurp the following accounts

I want to usurp the "sheitan" account on Wiki Commons (commonswiki) too. Grateful if you could make the needful.

--Sheitan 15:26, 28 September 2009 (UTC)

Hello, all those wikis have local bureaucrats, please ask for renames there (interwikilinks to the requestpages can be found on this page, or type special:listusers/bureaucrat into the searchfield on the local wiki), thanks. Please note that usurping might not be possible on some projects if the accounts have edits, best regards, Nick1915 - all you want 15:36, 28 September 2009 (UTC)
Well, thanks to your advice I've successfully contacted the local stewards and I managed to unify all the accounts except one; fa.wikipedia
I've contacted the local steward almost 1 month [1] and still no answer. Since he is the only person having the "bureaucrat" role on fa.wikipedia and he has been absent for a long time, I'm wondering how would I been able to unify this last account?
Does wikipedia has something like a "super bureaucrat" who is able to merge accounts on any wikipedia projects?

Sheitan 11:17, 2 November 2009 (UTC)

I've renamed the fawiki account. --Erwin 18:24, 6 November 2009 (UTC)

hmwith

I want to merge the following account into my global account:

I thought my account was fully global when I was first able to do this, but I guess I was mistaken and/or had forgotten. Thanks, --hmwithτ 22:34, 30 September 2009 (UTC)

If that account is yours you can simply do so at Special:CentralAuth. If not, let us know. --Erwin 10:55, 11 October 2009 (UTC)
He needs special:mergeaccount, centralauth is only for stewards... Best regards, --birdy geimfyglið (:> )=| 05:20, 31 October 2009 (UTC)

Jmarino SUL

The following discussion is closed.

I want to usurpate the account Jmarino on the meta-wiki.

Unfortunately I do not know the database and project name of the meta. I have a SUL with accounts on different projects with the name of Jmarino. This is the last step to finalise the merge. Thank you.

Sorry I forgot to sign... --85.2.43.237 18:47, 2 October 2009 (UTC) de:user:Jmarino
The German Wikipedia has local bureaucrats, so I'm afraid we can't help you. You need to place your request at w:de:Hilfe:Benutzernamen ändern/Benutzernamens-Übernahme. --Erwin 10:56, 11 October 2009 (UTC)
Hi Erwin, I started my request with the local bureaucrats on the german wikipedia, but apparently they have no rights to manage the account on the meta-wiki as their rights are limited to the german project (at least my contact has not the corresponding authorisation). Who is now the right address? How shall I proceed? Thanks a lot in advance for your help. --85.2.55.177 19:33, 15 October 2009 (UTC) de:user:Jmarino
Ah, I'm sorry, but I misunderstood your request. I thought you wanted to have your German account renamed. For Meta you can place a request at Meta:Changing username. A Meta bureaucrat can then rename you. (I can't myself, as I'm not a bureaucrat here.) I'm sorry for the confusion. --Erwin 13:08, 21 October 2009 (UTC)
Hi Erwin, sorry for bothering you again. I do not want to rename an account. The account is already existing, but apparently not in use in accordance with the information from my support contact (German bureaucrat, see above). My intention is to USURPATE - take over - the account into my SUL. My home is the German Wiki and from there I would like to unify my accounts. It could also be that I did open this account on Meta-Wiki myself, but I don't remember the password (I've tried several times with a few variants without success). Just now I requested a new password from the Log-In page but didn't receive the corresponding mail. So that usurpation might be the unique solution. Using your link above to change username I find a link to SUL problem solving in the navigation pane at the top, which redirects me to this site. ARE you the right address? Thanks for your help and best regards. --195.160.149.37 09:03, 23 October 2009 (UTC) de:user:Jmarino
Yeah, it is the right page. See Meta:Changing_username#Instructions for the instructions or scroll down to the Instructions header. --Erwin 09:09, 23 October 2009 (UTC)

Great! Finally done. Thanks a lot. --Jmarino 12:37, 23 October 2009 (UTC)

Hi. I don't know if this is the right place to ask. I would like to merge my account Malafaya@usability.wikimedia.org into my SUL. How can I accomplish that? Thanks, Malafaya 15:58, 7 October 2009 (UTC)

I spoke too soon :). I found the confirmation box at the bottom of the SUL management in the mentioned wiki. It's done. Thanks anyway, Malafaya 16:01, 7 October 2009 (UTC)

Hello, all those wikis have local bureaucrats, except be.wiki (which should therefore be done by a steward here), please ask for renames there (interwikilinks to the requestpages can be found on this page, or type special:listusers/bureaucrat into the searchfield on the local wiki), thanks. Please note that usurping might not be possible on some projects if the accounts have edits, best regards, --birdy geimfyglið (:> )=| 18:09, 30 October 2009 (UTC)
I renamed the bewiki one. --Erwin 18:28, 6 November 2009 (UTC)

Hello Solde, Spanish Wikiversity has local bureaucrats, please ask them for usurp. Regards, LeinaD (t) 13:07, 14 October 2009 (UTC)
Hello, I contacted with them couple of weeks ago SUL Solde, but I haven't received a response. Thanks. --Solde 06:25, 15 October 2009 (UTC)
Apparently both bureaucrats have been inactive since 2008. Therefore, I renamed Solde and you should now be able to login with your global account. --Erwin 07:34, 15 October 2009 (UTC)

Pycckue

I want to usurp the following accounts into my global account:

It has no contributions since 2006. Thanks! -- Pycckue 21:08, 17 October 2009 (UTC)

Hi. English Wikipedia has many bureaucrats who can do that. Please request that at Wikipedia:Changing username/Usurpations. --FiliP ██ 08:07, 18 October 2009 (UTC)

Icewedge

The following discussion is closed.

I would like to have http://test.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Icewedge merged into my global account. They have a SUL request page over at .test, however it has been fully protected for a year and a half =D!

The account already belongs to me, except I have forgotten its password. If you don't believe that, the account has had 0 contribs since it was created in 2007 (although I think I did create a page or two that got deleted, don't really remember), so its not a problem either way. Icewedge 20:20, 19 October 2009 (UTC)

Did you set an e-mail address for this account? If so, you could have Wikipedia send you a new password. In any case I've unprotected testwiki:Wikipedia:Requests/Renames. There are quite a lot of bureaucrats, so one of them should help you. It might be fastest to just contact one of them on his home wiki. --Erwin 20:32, 19 October 2009 (UTC)

Rbrausse

The account on vo.WP was created this year (though not by me...) but has no contributions. Thanks a lot, Rbrausse 11:06, 21 October 2009 (UTC)

Hello, this wiki has local bureaucrats, please ask for renames there (interwikilinks to the requestpages can be found on this page, or type special:listusers/bureaucrat into the searchfield on the local wiki, or contact vo:user:Malafaya), thanks. Please note that usurping might not be possible on some projects if the accounts have edits, best regards, --birdy geimfyglið (:> )=| 18:11, 30 October 2009 (UTC)
thanks a lot! Rbrausse 23:12, 30 October 2009 (UTC)
