Urbourbo@svwikipedia

Urbourbo's reelection for administratorship got 19 votes for and 9 votes against. This means U got around 67,85 % approving votes, which is not enough to keep the administrative tools. I was one of those who voted against, and arguably the most active debater in the "against"-side. As for myself, and probably everyone else who voted against, I believe 0 administrative actions taken during a full year is not enough for someone to keep the tools. No user has obligations, but on the other hand there is no Wikipedia-wide "human right" to have admin tools. It's a controversial topic on svwp wether inactivity should be enough to disqualify a canditate for administratorship, but at least this time, the candidate did not get enough support to keep the tools. Temporary permissions (expired and rejected requests only)

Spiritia@bg.wikisource - 2

I was granted 4-month temporary admininship, which completed on 2 September. As i was originally voted for a permanent admin and bureaucrat, and in the meanwhile there have been no objections against my work in Bulgarian Wikisource, I would like to reapply for what I have been voted for. During the 4 months, my activities were mainly focused on:

  • Cleaning stale vandalisms (from which I could generate some, hm, useful, I think :) observations and advices for administrators of small wikis in my situation in the learning pattern Grants:Learning patterns/Cleaning the Augean stables: DIY discovery of fermented vandalisms, copyvios and other unwelcome stuff.
  • Serving requests of other Bulgarian wiki admins from other wiki projects, concerning blocking anonymous proxies, IP ranges of disruptive users.
  • Introducing gadgets and improvements in the edit mode interface and other system messages, that would make BG Wikisource closer to the user experience in BG Wikipedia, thus trying to help more WP users to feel "at home" in WS, too.
  • Proactively reaching out to WP community members to help contributing to WS (example: the author of an article on a Bulgarian PD writer, who was preparing it for a feature article in WP, was explicitly asked to improve the WS page about this author, and he immediately contributed).
  • Recruiting another WP editor to help for the translation of some of the help pages from English to Bulgarian, thus making WS a better documented project. (More than half of the job has been completed within this teamwork).
  • Initial attempts of organizing a more detailed category tree, to better correspond to the one traditionally adopted on WP.
  • During Wikimania, I took part in the discussion about Wikisource (contributing with extracts from the learning pattern above).

Hope that this list of contributions are a proof of continuing interest in maintaining the project. Current committments to Wiki Loves Earth, and workload in my offwiki job until mid October are the explanation of reduced activity in the last month, but I am still very eager to bring back life to this prospective wiki project.

Thank you in advance for the kind consideration, Spiritia 18:39, 8 September 2016 (UTC)

Sarrus@dawikibooks

Please give me the adminflag.
- Sarrus (ct) 10:05, 17 September 2016 (UTC)

The request was started in June, but people recently commented. It doesn't seem like there would be harm to giving a year long trial as the user has had admin rights in the past. MBisanz talk 01:28, 19 September 2016 (UTC)
That is true. On the other hand, of the four users who commented, only two have more than 100 edits, and one of them supports, the other one opposes. The other two users have only 1 resp. 2 edits on the wiki, namely on the RFA page. --MF-W 18:42, 19 September 2016 (UTC)
I have been administrator on dawikibooks in two periods before and in the first of these requests one user was (permanent) admin and the others were not active users. In the next request nobody made a comment, but you gave me back the adminflag. Here I have 75% support. Isn't that enough? Besides this I am in fifth term as admin on dawiktionary, plus I am permanent admin on dawiki since 2009.
- Sarrus (ct) 14:57, 20 September 2016 (UTC)
An administrator is needed on the not very active project Dawikibooks. Sarrus is well known from Dawiki. There is no other Danish-speaking relevant candidate. --Madglad (talk) 13:44, 21 September 2016 (UTC)
As I tried to explain, your support is rather 50%. --MF-W 19:30, 21 September 2016 (UTC)
@MF-Warburg: Three support and one oppose gives 75%.
- Sarrus (ct) 13:58, 22 September 2016 (UTC)
Maybe you should look more globally. The supporters are not unknown users who registered recently just to support me. They are active community members in Danish Wikipedia, where User:Sorenhk has 18.000 edits (23.000+ globally) since 2011, User:Madglad has 6.000+ edits (mostly on dawiki) since 2011, while User:Vrenak has almost 3.000 edits (mostly on dawiki) since 2007. Active contributors should not be ignored just because they are not active on that project.

Can you explain these comment removals? MBisanz talk 01:00, 27 March 2017 (UTC)
@MBisanz: yes of course I can explain, initially the user (Saad107025) - as I wrote in the summary - not allowed to vote, because this account just made 3 edits (3 attempts to vote) then disappeared, also the main reason that he wrote in Arabic that he put "oppose" because I retrieved many time his edits in this page and he wrote also that he think ar.wikiversity follows Saudi Electronic University and the permission must give to the university student just! Thanks--Alaa :)..! 14:16, 27 March 2017 (UTC)
After I talk with the user in his talk page, he withdrawal his vote (see here), and he said in Arabic: "I'm sorry I think "oppose" just a template that I can put, I don't think that it may make a problems to you". Thanks--Alaa :)..! 17:02, 27 March 2017 (UTC)

Jon Harald Søby (WMNO)@sewiki

I'd like to request the importer rights on the Northern Sami Wikipedia, in order to import various templates/modules properly (i.e. with proper credit to their contributors), to improve the "infrastructure" of the wiki. The linked discussion is on my user talk page, where the only active admin (and indeed one of only two active users) said she supports, I don't know if that's enough? I'd specifically like to have the importer rights (which must be set by a steward) and not just the transwiki importer rights (which can be set by local bureaucrats), because it makes it possible to import pages from many more wikis than the few that have been enabled for transwiki imports. Jon Harald Søby (WMNO) (talk) 13:47, 30 November 2017 (UTC)

Done Transwiki right can also be assigned only by stewards though sysops have it. Ruslik (talk) 18:34, 30 November 2017 (UTC)
