In relation to this, could you explain why it is so urgent that the request is made without the input of local clerks, or whether there is reason to distrust them? --Sotiale (talk) 04:02, 3 April 2024 (UTC)
I would endorse the request on the basis of their editing patterns. As to why they decided to directly ping other users for a community consensus request (which I don't even see an obvious consensus) and not even try to ping clerks if it is any urgent is really not understandable. Do please proceed with the checkuser though. LuciferianThomas 10:19, 3 April 2024 (UTC)
Even with the clerk team's consent, this request does not have a proper SPI link nor can it confirm the discussion. I request that the requester provide a good reason, otherwise this request should be closed. --Sotiale (talk) 10:36, 3 April 2024 (UTC)
@Sotiale: I think Cmsth11126a02 has accidentally put the link of the deprecated HAM as the link of SPI, and I have just fixed it. Sorry for any inconvenience caused. Sanmosa Outdia 10:58, 3 April 2024 (UTC)

Rat Rembrandt@pl.wikiquote

@Swam pl: Those accounts are all Likely Likely to  Confirmed. I also found a bunch of other accounts that are all blocked, except for User:Vvgyvhvhv which remains unblocked (though hasn't edited recently). – Ajraddatz (talk) 23:04, 8 April 2024 (UTC)
Thank you @Ajraddatz: is there anything we can do to prevent further vandalism from this person? Swam pl (talk) 23:25, 8 April 2024 (UTC)
The abuse is coming from a few specific IP ranges; unfortunately, under the Access to Nonpublic Personal Data Policy I don't think there is any acceptable way for me to communicate those ranges to you. Are any of your admins on pl.wikiquote checkusers on pl.wikipedia? I should be able to communicate the info to them. – Ajraddatz (talk) 23:28, 8 April 2024 (UTC)
Unfortunately no, pl.wikipedia currently has two checkusers ([1]) and neither of them is an admin on pl.wikiquote ([2]). Swam pl (talk) 23:33, 8 April 2024 (UTC)
A shame. I'm following up on my end about this, hopefully there is some way - I'll reach out to the local admins on pl.wikiquote if/once I can. – Ajraddatz (talk) 23:36, 8 April 2024 (UTC)

Wetrace@zh.wikipedia

I believe you are aware that in order for this request to be successful, you will need to fully explain the evidence or, if it is not to be made public, send me an email with the rationale. Could you please do that? --Sotiale (talk) 05:34, 13 April 2024 (UTC)
To say the least that would probably suffice for a CU: the user is suspected to have repeatedly removed all pages under certain contentious categories using IP sockpuppets. LuciferianThomas 13:04, 13 April 2024 (UTC)
We won't be able to help with this one - we cannot give information that would connect an account to an IP address. If the user is suspected to be logging out to vandalize, your best option would be to address the IP vandalism with rangeblocks (as appropriate) to prevent further abuse. – Ajraddatz (talk) 14:25, 13 April 2024 (UTC)
As per previous enquiries, it appears that stewards can indeed tell us whether a user has been editing logged out without telling us which IP they used. They could be editing logged out using IPs not on the local SPI report. I do see this conflict of understanding between various stewards, so while I acknowledge your input, I would ask that you also discuss with Sotiale regarding previous similar requests. LuciferianThomas 15:24, 13 April 2024 (UTC)
In response to zh:Special:diff/82255230, I will be providing my own input here:
Recent edits in zh:Category:對法輪功的批評 and its enwiki corresponding page en:Category:Criticism_of_Falun_Gong (by removing the link to the category from pages to the point where the category is emptied and therefore qualifies for speedy delete) have sparked suspicion in local user Wetrace engaging in logout editing. Despite Wetrace attempts to redirect the attention to the creator of the category 重庆轨交18 in the discussion, multiple local users, including a local admin Ericliu1912 encourages such check for logout edits. A suggestion has indicated a potential Unlikely Unlikely based on the corresponding geographic locations of the IPs, yet further discussion has hypothesized one the possibility of achieving such phenomenon through technical means should Wetrace is indeed engaging in abusing sockpuppets. Thanks in advance. 00:15, 14 April 2024 (UTC)

I would like to make a note before I proceed with this. In principle, processing in SRCU should have a comparison target, and IP socking, as we call it, can generally be handled by a local checkuser, so it was an extremely exceptional processing due to the public nature of SRCU. Despite the many risks, I have handled this without violating the privacy policy. As you can see, refusing to handle IP socking on a large wiki like zhwiki is causing chaos there. In fact, I've found and covered several IP socking cases, including zhwiki's CCF incident. Therefore, I will process this request, but I will consider how to do it better than we do now, and at the same time minimize transparency issues and privacy issues. --Sotiale (talk) 02:56, 14 April 2024 (UTC)

  • There is no evidence whatsoever that they are IP socking or have other accounts.

Ayten347@commons.wikimedia

In principle, we can't perform checkuser ourselves because commonswiki has their own checkuser team. Pragmatically, the last activity on the account was in 2021 and there will be no information remaining at this time. --Sotiale (talk) 15:01, 20 April 2024 (UTC)
The same photo was used for this global project before me - Futurolog21. Maybe the user in question posted that photo in connection with that project. Mirza also looked at that photo and placed those numbers at the end of his signature. Because he always followed Lady Slim and opened a user page with her name. Also, I have already declared that Mirza died and we used the same ip. OK, let it be that account in my name, but I don't know where this Leonid account came from. By replying to you, I also protest that the Leonid93 account has nothing to do with me. I don't think there is a 2nd profile that use my ip, so please check again. I only have one account linked to my laptop and my phone and I do all my editing mostly on my laptop and rarely on my phone when I'm not at home. i haven't other accounts and I repeat no one is using my ip. 2607:FEA8:1F1D:8400:FE63:869E:B0E6:EAB8@en.wikinews

Hi. I appreciate the effort you took to find them, but SRCU cannot be processed for several reasons; First, it is impossible to compare IPs and accounts and publicly declare the results. Second, if the evasion of the global lock is about IPs, you should request it to SRG. Third, it must be inactive to the extent that there is no response despite leaving a post on the checkuser's talkpage. --Sotiale (talk) 02:54, 22 April 2024 (UTC)
Okay. Thank you for the response. Michael.C.Wright (talk) 04:08, 22 April 2024 (UTC)

@Sotiale, this user has participated in the discussion. If it's proven to be a puppet account, the user's opinion on discussion will be disregarded and the account will be blocked. However, we need evidence to do this. Sura Shukurlu (talk) 14:18, 24 April 2024 (UTC)

Njamu@bs.wikipedia

Hi. This request cannot be processed for several reasons. First, due to privacy policy, I cannot publicly declare whether your IP and you are the same user. Second, the range you mentioned has already had its block setting changed to anon-only, so you can edit it when you log in. Third, the issue of IPBE granting is a local issue, so it is not an issue in which we can intervene unless it is a special case. --Sotiale (talk) 05:29, 26 April 2024 (UTC)
Hi, thanks. They updated it to only anon users. Will continue with contribs. Njamu (talk) 07:19, 26 April 2024 (UTC)
