wikt:ja:User:きこうでんみさ & wikibooks:ja:User:ゲーヨッパラシーザー etc.

The following discussion is closed.

Please check this account:

I think he/she(this name is a female name, but I think "she" is male) is a sockpuppet of EMPIS. he/she is not blocked yet, but is trying to vote against wikt:ja:LERK for a sysop of jawikt.

And as my additional request, please check this account:

this name is very similar to wikt:ja:User:ガチヨッパラシーザー, who was confirmed the sockpuppet of EMPIS (maybe he is w:ja:User:Yukarin, wikt:ja:User:Yukarin and wikibooks:ja:User:Yukarin). He is trying to edit improperly.--Mtodo 08:33, 10 October 2009 (UTC)

Please check below also.
They tried to vandal ja.books and have been blocked already.--Mtodo 23:59, 11 October 2009 (UTC)
Additional info about wikt:ja:User:きこうでんみさ. His/Her activity is very same as EMPIS and レグノワール(already CUed, confirmed as EMPIS's sock). They(He/She) are very aggressive against Mtodo, one of ja.wikt sysop, and try to dismiss Mtodo from adminship(by レグノワール, by きこうでんみさ, both are motions to recall). This is only one example. We found not a few common things to EMPIS's sock series in きこうでんみさ's edit/activity, and he has joined a vote for adminship, so I need to know whether he/she is a sock of indef. blocked user. Thank you.--Ninomy 02:41, 12 October 2009 (UTC)
 Confirmed that wikt:ja:User:きこうでんみさ = b:ja:User:Peacepeacepeacepeace = b:ja:User:戦勝65周年. Inconclusive Inconclusive for others.--Jusjih 19:31, 15 October 2009 (UTC)
Thank you very much.--Mtodo 01:20, 16 October 2009 (UTC)

Ucftc@zhwiki

The following discussion is closed.

Please check if the user is a sock-puppet of Zeuszc (contr · deleted · block · log · block log · CA · guc · checkuser · lwcheckuser). Reasons:

  1. They both add CSD template to ordinary pages: 1, 2 (the edit summary: "Some sysops are stub-born and keep vandalizing Wikipedia").
  2. They both edited page 周晨.
  3. And they both took part in the AfD discussion of the article above: 3. They also delete or rollback others' comment.

In addition, Ucftc has been blocked for vandalizing, and Zeuszc had been blocked some days ago for the same reason. Please help us to make sure whether they are the same user. Thanks.--Jimmy xu wrk 14:01, 19 October 2009 (UTC)

One more: Hera1214 (contr · deleted · block · log · block log · CA · guc · checkuser · lwcheckuser). According to their behavior, they are all doing batch of minor edits in order to get autoconfirmed and so they'll be eligible to vote in the AfD.--Jimmy xu wrk 14:03, 19 October 2009 (UTC)
  •  Confirmed Ucftc == Hera1214
  • Unlikely Unlikely that Zeuszc is involved. Same ISP, but the range and other characteristics are different - and it is a busy range, there's no reason to think that using the same ISP shows any connection.  — Mike.lifeguard | @en.wb 14:21, 20 October 2009 (UTC)

Suspected related users
Rationale
  • I am a sysop from MS Wiki. Tired of reverting this vandal. Repeated and persistently registering as new user and vandalizing pages. Request to block the IP to not allow new registration / any similar function. Yosri 10:16, 21 October 2009 (UTC)
Confirmed socks are Jojambu, Hathaway, Gablv, Dtrb, Aims and Guapo. I'll send you the IP address. --Erwin 13:34, 21 October 2009 (UTC)

uk:User:Ink

The following discussion is closed.

Please check user:Prima klasy4na, uk:User:Ink, uk:User:Шабло, uk:User:Шаблон. Reason: uk:User:Ink is known for massive controversial edits in templates and other violations (See his block log). He is blocked now, two other users are newly registered and immediately began similar edits in templates --Ilya K 06:02, 17 October 2009 (UTC)

It would probably be helpful if you could provide some diffs of the controversial edits in question. This way it will make it easier for the CheckUser. Cheers, Tiptoety talk 06:51, 17 October 2009 (UTC)
Well, all these three users are fond of creating copies of existing templates and replacing them in the articles with his works.
As a result, all these three users have similar edit patterns in Template: namespace, and I agree that it is necessary to check whether it is a block evasion by uk:Користувач:Ink, as it is too strange for a newbie to start using parsers from the very first edit — NickK 08:02, 17 October 2009 (UTC)
I would confirm all NickK' observations and reasoning. We really need activity of those users checked. --pavlosh 09:58, 17 October 2009 (UTC)

Here are the results: Шабло and Шаблон are definitely the same. It is Possible Possible that Ink is related to them, based on technical evidence. --FiliP ██ 08:39, 18 October 2009 (UTC)

And what does that have to do with checkuser etc.? If you are blocked then go talk with the sysops who blocked you. This page is for checkuser requests, and for nothing else. Thank you for understanding. --თოგო (D) 23:56, 18 October 2009 (UTC)

Closing thread, incorrect venue for appeal. Only the project in question can unblock you, not people here. Kylu 00:18, 19 October 2009 (UTC)

This discussion is closed. No further comments please. --თოგო (D) 00:18, 19 October 2009 (UTC)

May I ask, what I may to do? In uk.wikipedia I can't edit because permanent blocking and reblocking for non-vandalism edits. uk is main for me.--Prima klasy4na 22:24, 20 October 2009 (UTC)

Vandals in ruwikibooks

These accounts are permanently vandalised pages of the project (starting from 6 of November). Please check them IP's and block these. Thank you. Regards, – Innv | d | s: 09:21, 8 November 2009 (UTC)

Confirmed socks. Blocked their IPs and a couple of sleepers. Laaknor 10:14, 8 November 2009 (UTC)

Suspected related users

Previously as (diff IP)

Rationale

I suspect he is the same user (with diff IP) as

as same mode of vandal to same articles. Yosri 08:58, 30 October 2009 (UTC)

What do you need the Checkuser information for? If he is vandalizing, you can block him whether or not it is the same vandal, no? - Andre Engels 09:40, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
He keeps registering as new user; as such I need to block his IP address. I cannot afford to keep undo his vandal as he strike at any time, when the SYSOP is not active. I definitely can block him if he agreed to vandal only specific time when the sysop is around; say 9 am to 7pm. Unless I have the option to block specific sentences. Yosri 12:45, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
Sorry, maybe I did not explain myself. If I block his user, his IP is block only for 24 hours, then he can register as new user. As such, I need to nick his IP address. Or anyone.Yosri 13:01, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
  •  Confirmed: Posteitaliana, Yotambien, Sambalbelacan, Rbssa, Seniledementia, Guapo, Aims, Dtrb, Gablv, Hathaway, Jojambu, Berkshire, Bamboo
  • IPs will be shared privately.

The following discussion is closed.

At zh:Wikipedia:頁面存廢討論/記錄/2009/10/27 the following accounts without any edits just vote to keep zh:User:Loh6303's article.

I suspect it is abuse of multi-accounts in voting. Please check, thanks. --Kegns 08:00, 2 November 2009 (UTC)

Requests of ko.wiki

The following discussion is closed: not done

I suspect below accounts is same user. Because this user is vandalised on same page. this user's vandal is libels on w:ko:포켓몬스터(Pocket Monster).

evidence is [3], [4], [5], [6], [7] etc...

and, this user is Vandalize on some user's page(especially 베이징's user page), even This account even create to bid a abuse.

thus, I'd like below accounts and more accounts that are confirmed.

--Zerostone5482 05:18, 4 November 2009 (UTC)

all those accounts above were blocked by Korean wikipedia administrators, so there's no need to use checkuser right.--Hun99 06:58, 5 November 2009 (UTC)

Rodolero or copycat trolling in nn.wikipedia

The following discussion is closed.

There has been some new accounts made by the rodolero troll or copycat on nn.wikipedia now. This troll was pestering mainly the Norwegian wikis some time back, but also other wikis I belive. Can you check if there are any more accounts than these obvious ones from today:

Thank you. --Jorunn 19:35, 9 November 2009 (UTC)

Done Usually this kind of request is difficult. If they don't have edits, you can't tell, if the username is not offending or impersonating, that this is the vandal. (You know, fishing is not allowed.) But here are the results that can be traced back to the vandal:
There are two more accounts that seem to be the same person, but it is not absolutely certain, therefore I won't list them here. --თოგო (D) 13:21, 10 November 2009 (UTC)

79.107.0.0/17 (contr · deleted · block · log · block log · CA · guc · checkuser · lwcheckuser) Vandalising a bunch of pages on el.wiki, if a steward could check for collateral damage from this range that'd be great. GrooveDog 02:03, 14 November 2009 (UTC)

Confirmed that this would be bad, close this. :) GrooveDog 04:42, 15 November 2009 (UTC)

王牌投手&簡慶宗@zhwiki

The following discussion is closed.

These two users are currently fabricating articles and contents in zhwiki which are related (linked to each other). The articles they created recently (all of them have been speedy deleted) are as follows:

where 1 and 2 are related to 3/4 (duplicate article). As it is difficult for two different people (who do not know each other) to create such related articles, I suspect these two users are related. Therefore, I would like to request a CU to confirm my conclusion. Thank you.--Altt311 18:36, 14 November 2009 (UTC)

  • Comment Comment: one point to add - By comparing the editing records, these two users share similar editing habits ,and 王牌投手has tried to create an article of 簡慶宗 (which has been speedy deleted too) before, giving more evidence that these two accounts are related.--Altt311 18:36, 14 November 2009 (UTC)
Confirmed as the same user. The range is busy, so cannot be blocked. They are also editing while logged out. If disruption continues via IP, I can share that data with a trusted user by email.  — Mike.lifeguard | @en.wb 04:44, 15 November 2009 (UTC)

Vandal at vi.wikipedia.org

The following discussion is closed.

This is vandalism accounts we suspect that created by user vi:User:Minh râu (this name mean Ho Chi Minh have bushy beard). There are obscene names in Vietnamese language. He usually create accounts from 10:00pm to 11:00pm (GMT+7). Please check them IP's and block these. Thank you.--Magicknight94 01:13, 12 November 2009 (UTC)

I started looking at this, but gave up due to a lack of energy. Hopefully someone will beat me to it, but I'll do it later if not.  — Mike.lifeguard | @en.wb 04:50, 15 November 2009 (UTC)

Ok, let's put in some results.
  •  Confirmed as sockpuppets of vi:User:Minh râu are all of the abovementioned accounts.
  • Additionally there are many more:
Sent also via mail to User:mxn as he is one of the bureaucrats on that wiki, who knows English. --თოგო (D) 20:10, 16 November 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for the heads-up. I've notified the community at our village pump and administrator's noticeboard, and additionally sent Conbo an e-mail notifying him of the results, so he can have a chance to defend himself. If there's anything else I should do for now (as both ambassador and bureaucrat), please let me know. Thanks. – Minh Nguyễn (talk, contribs) 08:32, 17 November 2009 (UTC)
The community has come to the consensus that Conbo is not in fact "Minh râu" et al. Conbo's alibi is that his work computer connects to the Internet through a proxy, and that his home connection is with the Vietnamese ISP VNPT (Vietnam Post and Telecommunications Group). Some of our users have had difficulty with VNPT in the past. At times, these users have found their IPs autoblocked as open proxies, forcing us to adopt the English Wikipedia's IP block exemption policy. But what people are describing this time sounds more like the old AOL problem, which continues to be common in Vietnam. I don't know if there's much we can do besides avoiding the "autoblock" feature and exempting a bunch of people. So I guess Crystalball CheckUser is not a crystal ball after all. – Minh Nguyễn (talk, contribs) 08:21, 18 November 2009 (UTC)
