Global bot status requests

Global bot status for Invadibot

Global bots and Wikidata

A local flag has been requested for "KLBot2@svwiki" for moving interwiki to Wikidata. Isn't this a task that can be done with Global flag? It looks like (s)he is using the same kind of software as many other bots, and they have made millions of edits now. -- Lavallen 13:17, 19 April 2013 (UTC)

I know KLBOT2 is a Globa bot, but is moving interwiki to Wikidata included in what can be done by a global flag? If it is, we do not need any local procedure for such bots. -- Lavallen 13:24, 19 April 2013 (UTC)
I'd say that, given the new interwiki schema, what KLBot2 is doing may fall into the "mantaining interwiki links" provisions of the global bot policy. However this is my personal opinion and I'd appreciate if other stewards would comment in this matter too. -- MarcoAurelio (talk) 13:29, 19 April 2013 (UTC)

I'm the KLBot2 operator. I have removed the request. It was a mess. I think I can only edit in languages that are on this list. These languages are not on that list: bn, br, bs, de, dv, es, fiu-vro, fr, fy, gl, id, is, it, ksh, min, mo, mr, mt, nds, nn, pcd, pl, pt, ro, sl, sq, sr, uk, ur, vi, wuu, zu. It is a mistake or I have to request the bot flag locally for these languages? --Kizar (talk) 16:27, 19 April 2013 (UTC)

Some wikis allow global bots, therefore they are in the wikiset which makes the global bot right have an effect on the wiki. Other wikis have not opted in to global bots, they are therefore also not included in the wikiset for global bots. I have a global botflag and local botflags on the one that you need a local flag. As far as I know I have the permission to all the wikipedia projects to add and remove interwiki links. So I know it is possible to get those flags. Carsrac (talk) 04:00, 20 May 2013 (UTC)

Ruslik0, the global bot policy is discussed/voted at vec:wikt:Wikisionario:Bot/Elesion. Indeed, implementing it will be enough for my bot (MalafayaBot), but by my experience, it usually takes months between voting and implementation. Maybe it's quicker ths time ;).
