Bot status requests

EikesBot@roa-rup.wp

I have formerly applied for adminship on the wiki, mainly to delete en masse no-content or spam articles; examples of such articles would be [1] and [2].

My understanding is that bot flags are to be given to real users only temporary, and I am therefore applying here for an actual bot to use. I would like to add that for the bot to be able to accomplish its purpose, it needs the permissions to delete, move or protect pages, similar to those an Administrator status would come with. D'AroemenenZullenNiVergaan (talk) 19:30, 27 March 2013 (UTC)

Since the mass-deletion should hopefully be finished one day, wouldn't it be easier to give a temporary bot flag once again to your normal account? --MF-W 19:33, 27 March 2013 (UTC)
I agree with you, MF-W.--EikesBot (talk) 19:36, 27 March 2013 (UTC)
Done as proposed by MF-W. Temporary, until the deletion is complete. --თოგო (D) 17:19, 1 April 2013 (UTC)

SamoaBot@br.wp

SamoaBot is removing interwiki links from pages (once they're all migrated to Wikidata). It is flagged on el.wp and hu.wp, and also active on ia.wp, with over 40,000 contributions in total. I requested a local flag here over a week ago, and made some test edits, but nobody commented upon, and the only two local bureaucrats seems to be inactive since 2011. On br.wiki there aren't other bots to do this task, and I would contribute. Regards, Ricordisamoa (talk) 06:56, 2 April 2013 (UTC)

Addbot@*.wikipedia

Addbot is currently approved on every wiki language except for (FG,ID,KSH,MR,NDS,PCD,WUU,DV,BR,MIN). The bot requests on (min,br,dv,nds and id) have been idle for weeks with no flag.

·Add§hore· Talk To Me! 15:15, 4 April 2013 (UTC)

Done where appropriate. For idwiki, please contact id:User:Mimihitam, for ndswiki nds:User:Slomox, on ksh Vogone has just contacted the fully protected crat (ksh:Metmaacher Klaaf:BBKurt), plus it seems you only contacted the others today. --MF-W 15:40, 4 April 2013 (UTC)
Cheers! ·Add§hore· Talk To Me! 15:58, 4 April 2013 (UTC)

The botflag for addbot has been granted as requested and read/write access to my talking-page given. Currently there is a discussion whether admins without edits for more than 1 year should loose their admin-rights. We expect a decision within the next 3 weeks. --BBKurt (talk) 18:04, 4 April 2013 (UTC)

The local request on idwiki was granted, therefore all done here. --MF-W 17:39, 5 April 2013 (UTC)

EdinBot@bswikiquote

I'm currently an administrator at bs.wikiquote and the plan in the near future is to perform automated tasks such as welcome messages to new users. Since we don't have a local bureaucrat I cannot ask it locally. Regards. Edinwiki (talk) 11:54, 7 April 2013 (UTC)

Please, create a request for bot status on an appropriate page in the wiki. Ruslik (talk) 10:26, 8 April 2013 (UTC)
There is no dedicated page for bot requests so I have created a request on the general discussion page. I hope that is enough. However, I don't expect anyone to react on that soon since there has not been that much activity lately. -- Edinwiki (talk) 10:51, 8 April 2013 (UTC)
That is fine, we just want to ensure that there is the theoratical possibility to raise problems beforehand, if there is someone. (On hold until 15 April) --MF-W 13:10, 8 April 2013 (UTC)
I think all the conditions are now met. Can someone please grant the flag? Thanks. -- Edinwiki (talk) 13:12, 16 April 2013 (UTC)

CarsracBot@hewiktionary

The local request is made here today. I'm already running on this wiki as a bot without a flag, but I don't want any problems when I make more interwiki changes in the future so that is why I request the botflag. Carsrac (talk) 12:28, 18 April 2013 (UTC)

On hold for a week until 25 April. --MF-W 01:05, 19 April 2013 (UTC)

SamoaBot@fy.wp

SamoaBot is removing interwiki links from pages (once they're all migrated to Wikidata). It is flagged on el.wp, br.wp, ksh.wp, mt.wp and hu.wp, and also active on ia.wp, with over 66,000 contributions in total (over 170,000 across all projects). I requested a local flag here over a week ago, and made some test edits, but nobody commented upon. I asked a 'crat, but I'm still waiting... Regards, Ricordisamoa 15:52, 19 April 2013 (UTC)

There is one active bureaucrat. You should ask him. Ruslik (talk) 06:39, 20 April 2013 (UTC)

KLBot2 br.wikipedia

My bot has a global flag but the editions in this language appear in recent changes. Kizar (talk) 09:58, 20 April 2013 (UTC)

It's because the wiki has not opted in to global bots (see also the "no standard bot policy" remark in the request template. Please contact the local bureaucrats in order to get a bot flag. --MF-W 18:54, 20 April 2013 (UTC)
Although I doubt there will be any response in this case (one 'crat is inactive since 2011 and the other since 2010). Regards, Vogone talk 02:24, 21 April 2013 (UTC)
Indeed, see this. --Ricordisamoa 02:36, 21 April 2013 (UTC)
That's why I've put this comment. There are many languages that do not support global bots and do not have a local policy or bureaucrats. This languages: br, bs, fiu-vro, fy, ksh, mo, mr, nn, pcd, ur, wuu, zu should be on this list. If not, I need to request local flags for all those languages here. --Kizar (talk) 11:52, 22 April 2013 (UTC)

HydrizBot@sgwiktionary

I applied on the said page on March 25th, 2013 and totally forgot about it, running as a global interwiki bot for Wiktionaries. Thanks! --Hydriz (talk) 15:07, 27 April 2013 (UTC)

Removal of bot status

ElphiBot@wikidata

The bot had approval by d:Wikidata:Requests for permissions/Bot/ElphiBot and was de-approvaled, The bot operator had requested for approval but It wasn't accepted so this bot doesn't have approval for doing anything. Thanks Amir (talk) 19:11, 14 April 2013 (UTC)

Amir, we have local crats who can take care of this :) d:WD:BN. Legoktm (talk) 19:14, 14 April 2013 (UTC)
