The bot policy specifies as a requirement for global bots, inter alia, that “the bot must already be active on several wikis, with long-term contributions to back up its trustworthiness” (emphasis added). sulutil:EdinBot shows that EdinBot was registered on 15 February 2012 and currently has 61240 contributions on bs.wikipedia, but none on any other wiki. I wonder whether that meets the requirements as specified by the bot policy. --UV (talk) 20:42, 29 May 2012 (UTC)

I'm not sure about what kind of trustworthiness you mean, but if it is of any importance in my case, I've gained at least the trust of the community on bs-wiki by becoming an admin there. On the other hand, if it is about the trustworthiness of the bot itself and its operations, I can only say that there are currently (in my opinion) enough edits to back up this trustworthiness. Furthermore, I have (currently) no real interest in heavily contributing to other wikis except for the case of fixing interwiki links. But of course, if this is strictly against the bot policy then I guess there is not much to discuss anymore. Global bot status for KLBot2

KLBot2 have bot flag in es:wikipedia since 1 year with more than 272.444 editions. I want to edit interwikis in all wikipedia languages using pywikipediabot. I requested local flags in ca, nl, it, de, fr, ru, gl, eu, en, pt and sl. I'm waiting for aprovals. I can do test editions or whatever to prove that I have enough experience. Thanks. Please, get back global bot flag for JAnDbot. It was removed few days ago, because of missing userpages on several projects. Now bot has userpage with contact informations on all wikipedias and wiktionaries. On other project is now not used. JAn Dudík (talk) 19:10, 25 June 2012 (UTC)

It says on top of the bot requests page[4] that is follows the standard bot policy and allows automatic approval. I don't know if that is an error in the template or something but I used the information on the wiki itself. --Ceradon (talk) 20:36, 18 June 2012 (UTC)
