Global bot status for DEagleBot

The main bot in ltg.wp, which add new Latgalian articles interwikis to another wikipedias --Dark Eagle 12:20, 26 March 2011 (UTC)

Thanks, it was for this --Dark Eagle 12:43, 27 March 2011 (UTC)
I had this kind of problem in frrwiki. The only allow global bots for inter-wiki purpose. So, I removed frrwiki from my bot's user-config.py. You can do the same for nowiki, until you get global flag. — [ Tanvir | Talk ] 17:00, 27 March 2011 (UTC)

Global bot status for MerlIwBot

Most of you know me from dewiki for checking bot flag requests for more than two years now. Since then i am also running my two bots. MerlLinkBot is mainly replacing weblinks on all wikis, but is also flagged for the interwiki task. Because of the weblink task automatic approval is not possible and there are many local bot flag requests without any response from local community for years now. Thats why i decided to to move this task to this new bot account. In future MerlLinkBot will do the weblink task only.

I requested for bot flag for MerlIwBot on all major wikis and all wikis not being part of the global bot wiki set. I already got 26 flags and 16 are still pending (bureaucrats inactivity, ... but still no objections). Before i starting doing mass autoapproval requests i would like to ask if you think global bot flag is also possible.

The bot is using my own java framework also used by MerlBot and MerlLinkBot. It is running on the toolserver and uses the ts-db for getting hints which pages it should check. Then the interwikigraph script itself runs independent from ts-db (and its errors). I wrote this bot to mainly solve interwiki problems that cannot by handled by pywikipediabot at the moment. The bot has done 100.000+ edits wthin a month. I think this is quite much because the bot has not worked on recent changes and run on single wiki mode only. There is no unresolved known issue at the moment. The bot is reading nearly all configuration from the wiki itself. So there will be not update problem. Only the interwiki sorting order cannot be fetched from wiki. For this i am reading the pwd config file from svn at the moment, but i started a discussion at Talk:Interwiki sorting order#Proposal: Storing interwiki sorting at local system message to change this. interwikis/cosmetic, text parts removing etc. as a main bot for ltg.wikipedia society --Dark Eagle 19:06, 20 March 2011 (UTC)
Such a general bot requires a discussion within the community. Please, start it, and after a week, if there is no objections, the permission will be granted. Ruslik 19:59, 20 March 2011 (UTC)
1 week is left (ltg:Vikipedeja:Bot_policy#Bot_policy) --Dark Eagle 15:50, 27 March 2011 (UTC)
This is for bot policy, not for the bot itself. Ruslik 08:48, 28 March 2011 (UTC)
Not done since there's no local discussion. Please gain consensus for the bot locally first. Jafeluv 07:10, 18 April 2011 (UTC)

Could you please provide us with a link to an approval of your local community? Thanks. --Mercy 11:26, 17 April 2011 (UTC)

Not done; since this is not an interwiki-only bot, it will have to be approved by a local bureaucrat. Jafeluv 11:36, 17 April 2011 (UTC)
