Global bot requests

Global bot status for EleferenBot

The standard python wikipediabot, Interwiki.py. It will be using only for adding/modifying/delete interwiki. Eleferen 16:14, 6 March 2010 (UTC)

Not done bot does not fullfil the requirements. Laaknor 15:33, 13 March 2010 (UTC)

Global bot status for Adlerbot

The bot has already ~ 1000 interwiki edits on different wikipedias (excluding ~ 45000 edits on fa.wikipedia) Adler.fa 02:40, 24 March 2010 (UTC)

A bot should already be active in many wiki projects and before it can be granted a global bot status. Please check the requirements in Bot policy. Thanks! PS: Your bot is blocked in pl wiki for running without a bot bit. --Jyothis 03:09, 24 March 2010 (UTC)
The bot has been active in many wikis (at least 4). Further activities without a flag may lead to blockings. Adler.fa 09:36, 24 March 2010 (UTC)
I apologize for not being detailed enough on my comment. Usually, a global bot bit is granted to a bot that already have bot flags in several wikis and are trusted for fixing interwiki or double redirects by many wiki communities. In this case, you only have bot bit in just one wiki and one bit is not enough for a global bot status in my view. It may be running in other places, but most wikis does not like bots running without a bit. May I request you to apply for bot bit in individual wikis that you plan to run on and get the block lifted as soon as possible? While I appreciate your efforts and the great support you are rendering to the fa community, I am sorry to say that I cannot grant this request at this time. You may re-apply at a later time when you have many bot bits and trust from several communities. Hope I am detailed enuf and please feel free to get in touch with me (in IRC/talk)if you have further questions. Hope you understand and Thanks! --Jyothis 20:31, 24 March 2010 (UTC)
got it. Thank you very much for the convincing explanation.Adler.fa 08:11, 26 March 2010 (UTC)

Requesting bot flag in simple.wp and ca.wp MisterWiki 22:23, 12 February 2010 (UTC)

Both wikis have active local bureaucrats. Please request the flag locally. -Barras talk 22:26, 12 February 2010 (UTC)
I'm already requesting the flags on these wikis. I want to request the flag for interwiki bot in the Aymara Wikipedia too. --MisterWiki 22:31, 12 February 2010 (UTC)
Thanks for clarifying. The first sounded like you want the flag on these wikis. -Barras talk 22:32, 12 February 2010 (UTC)
Please grant it. It is flooding the rc. --MisterWiki 00:00, 16 February 2010 (UTC)
  • Comment Operator is indefinately blocked on en.wiki. Bot was blocked on simple.wiki for continuing to edit after bot request denied. Nevermind the fact you aren't even close to the 100 edits that are required by automatic approval. -Djsasso 00:25, 16 February 2010 (UTC)
  • Comment: As I said on many other wikis like ml.wiki, I didn't saw the Bot requests page until the bot got blocked. Maybe it's my fault. --MisterWiki 04:58, 16 February 2010 (UTC)
That isn't the only problem. You are a known spammer. To give you a bot flag would be one of the most rediculous actions a community could do. -Djsasso 15:40, 16 February 2010 (UTC)
I was a spammer... 3 years ago. Now I've been doing good work and no one really cares. --MisterWiki 16:47, 16 February 2010 (UTC)
And far away from flooding RCs Barras talk 00:27, 16 February 2010 (UTC)
The same request we have rejected on it.wikipedia. --Roberto Segnali all'Indiano 16:51, 16 February 2010 (UTC)

Your history makes it hard to give you botrights, and a lot of users have problems with this. As such, this request is Not done, but please continue your work with trying to do good wiki work; one day other users can trust you. Laaknor 17:02, 6 March 2010 (UTC)

Thank you! Some edits of my bot (such as [1]) include cosmetic changes option. This is minor changes that do not affect the article, but simplify its source code (removing spaces at the end of lines, sorting interwiki, etc.). Mondalor 12:11, 11 March 2010 (UTC)

ThomasBot@no.wikisource

There has been no discussion concerning this bot, but it provides a useful tool with Match & split. The bot already has bot-status on s.de, s.en, s.fr. V85 13:08, 6 March 2010 (UTC)

There is no doubt that your bot is useful and because of that I don't want to reject your request. But, according to the local policy, any bot which is not a subject of the standard bot policy has to be discussed prior to implementation. As there are enough of active uses at no.ws, please discuss first about the bot there and then update this request. --Millosh

Bot-Jagwar@mg.wikipedia

Hi,

I would like this bot (my bot) to have a bot flag. It is already operational and is just waiting for a consensus over there and here ; there is no bureaucrat there to accomplish my request, and another request has been put there without any response several months ago. Thanks. --Jagwar 交談 homewiki 14:04, 23 March 2010 (UTC)

On hold. The request has been opened today. Leave it open for a week to allow comments and if there's no opposition, we will flag it. As for the other request, the operator of that bot should contact us if he wants his bot flagged. Thanks, — Dferg (talk) 14:11, 23 March 2010 (UTC)
