RoggBot doing other tasks?

I'm not sure where to put this. Global bot RoggBot has been performing non-trivial tasks such as welcoming users at vo.wiktionary for which it does not have local permission nor was endorsed by anyone there to engage in such tasks. This has caused a "bad reaction" by some users. I'd be thankful if this could be prevented. Thanks, Malafaya 21:42, 9 September 2009 (UTC)

As it seem to be the only time he did it I think the better is you contact Roggy to inform him that next time he could lost his global bot status. --Hercule 11:30, 11 September 2009 (UTC)
Hello, Roggy is a responsible and communicative user, please contact him directly and tell him not to do that because that is not in accordance with the global botflag he has, if he wishes to do other things than interwiki he can ask for botflag locally. Best regards, --birdy geimfyglið (:> )=| 14:05, 12 September 2009 (UTC)
Where do you see what user is responsible for which global bot? I wrote on the bot's discussion page because I couldn't find the operator's info. Best, Malafaya 17:22, 15 September 2009 (UTC)
I see it from his work and interaction with him, his userpage is on wikt:ru:User:Roggy, but You could also email him from the bot userpage. Best regards, --birdy geimfyglið (:> )=| 17:42, 15 September 2009 (UTC)
Thanks, Birdy. Hercule above had already pointed out his user page. I was just wondering if there is some central place here on Meta where operator's names and contacts are kept. It could become useful in a next time. Cheers, 87.196.15.189 19:47, 15 September 2009 (UTC) Malafaya
Maybe something like Interwiki bot/Operators could be helpful, though not everyone lists himself there, best regards, --birdy geimfyglið (:> )=| 20:41, 15 September 2009 (UTC)
Quite outdated but a bit useful nevertheless :). Thank you for your help. This discussion may be archived. Malafaya 10:42, 17 September 2009 (UTC)

Global bot status for Darkicebot

My bot used to be a global bot, but as with my global rollback flag, I had the global bot flag removed because I did not think that I was going to run it. Now, I am wanting to run it again, however, I do not want to run it without the global bot flag because since it was a global bot before, it was working on all the Wikipedias, so therefore, I don't want to run it now because I feel that it would cause a lot of people to get angry at me for running it without a bot flag. Thanks again! Razorflame 19:28, 19 September 2009 (UTC)

Done since the flag was removed by your request. —Pathoschild 19:57:49, 19 September 2009 (UTC)

Global bot status for AnankeBot

My main bot is q:it:Utente:Italoautoma (above 30.000 edits). Since 2008 I'm using AnankeBot to update interwikis on Wikiquote starting from it.quote (it currently has about 7800 edits on various projects and bot status on 8 of them). Recently I've updated interwikis on it.wikiquote (making also a few edits on other Wikiquotes), and I realized that Wikiquote lacks global interwiki mantainers, now. Therefore I'm asking global bot status (as some users suggested) to update interwikis on all subdomains (I've made some trial edits on several wikis to complain with bot policy, and no errors were reported). Nemo 20:17, 8 October 2009 (CEST)

Sounds good to me. Others may want to see more edits on you current bot accounts though (not one has more than 1000 edits). --Daniel Mayer (mav) 01:04, 15 October 2009 (UTC)
Italoautoma has 30.000+ edits. Please consider that Wikiquotes are smaller than Wikipedias, therefore an interwiki bot won't make many edits on each wiki as in Wikipedia. --Nemo 21:17, 16 October 2009 (UTC)

Global bot status for Ver-bot

Please consider my request for global bot status. My bot in other wikis than home wiki is updating interwikis only. I am using standard pywikipedia software. At the moment I am operating on 9 wikis with bot flag, some other are requested. Regards. --Verwolff 10:43, 9 October 2009 (UTC)

Checks out for me. I do notice that, other than on your home wiki, there are not that many edits. Others may want to see more edits before granting global bot status. --Daniel Mayer (mav) 01:15, 15 October 2009 (UTC)

Bot status requests

AstaBOTh15@euwiki

Bot request posted on june and no opposition/comments were raised. Automatic approval requested. Thank you, Manuelt15 20:33, 10 September 2009 (UTC)

Hello, I am not sure if these [1] are also called "interwikilinks". Imho not really, so the community should give their opinion if they are in favor of this, best regards, --birdy geimfyglið (:> )=| 14:11, 12 September 2009 (UTC)
Done as automatic approval, permitted by local policy. Marking featured articles within interwiki links does not look stepping beyond Bot_policy#Automatic_approval about interlanguage links due to no negative effects. As the community has said nothing, it is presumed OK.--Jusjih 01:30, 21 September 2009 (UTC)

AnankeBot@bs.wikiquote

As the only active sysop on bs.wikiquote (the only ´crat is not active), I request a botflag for this user. THX Seha 18:24, 4 October 2009 (UTC)

Please provide a link to the on-wiki discussion about this request. --Daniel Mayer (mav) 01:51, 5 October 2009 (UTC)
There is no discussion. Those two bots are filling recent changes but making good job. --Seha 04:23, 5 October 2009 (UTC)
Then start a discussion. Find some place that is good visible to users, post your intention to give these two a bot flag, wait for reactions, and if there are no negative ones within, say, a week, return here. - Andre Engels 09:16, 6 October 2009 (UTC)
As I sayed under VolkovBot: Both of them have an global bot status, but until implementation is done, please change manualy. The owner of AnankeBot has request a implementation on bs.wikiquote. Where is the problem to grant those two global bots until the implementation is done? This was a idea of DerHexer, and thats why i have request it. --Seha 15:29, 6 October 2009 (UTC)
Sorry: I made only some trial edits at very low rate to then request global bot flag, but on a small wiki this can be annoying. As you see above, I've added a global flag request, therefore when (if) it is approved AnankeBot will have bot flag on your wiki (given that nobody complains locally about the implementation of the bot policy). --Nemo 18:26, 8 October 2009 (UTC)

Comment Comment Please close request, global bot policy was implemented on bs.wikiquote. THX --Seha 06:09, 18 October 2009 (UTC)

Until that happens, the local community must approve all bots. Nobody here will set the bot flag for you until a notice has been left for the local community for a week. --Daniel Mayer (mav) 22:02, 11 October 2009 (UTC)
