Global bot status for <AmphBot>

Thank you! Хинт " class="ext-discussiontools-init-timestamplink">18:50, 29 May 2009 (UTC)

Hello, sorry, but IMHO the bot does not meed the requirements for global bot, best regards, --birdy geimfyglið (:> )=| 14:21, 30 May 2009 (UTC)
Hello. What of two? My bot is only add/change interwikis and already has flag at 6 wikis (pending yet 2). Isn't it „several“? I planned just get flag at other wikipedias in the future until I got advice to request global bot status here. Thank you. — Хинт 15:50, 30 May 2009 (UTC)
I second Spacebirdy. IMHO 610 contributions on the most active wiki half of which were done during the past two weeks does not meet the "with long-term contributions to back up its trustworthiness" part. Nakor 17:00, 30 May 2009 (UTC)
At first, sorry for bad English. You may think bot's start work two weeks ago. I think exactly so. Is that problem? My bot just adding interwiki and will go on to do it. If I would want to break rules I would do it at any time. Even when AmphBot would has 10k edits. IMHO. And I'm sorry but you haven't say what requirement my bot doesn't meed. P.S. I don't want to break rules. — Хинт 17:27, 30 May 2009 (UTC)
It is in my previous message: with long-term contributions to back up its trustworthiness. Now this is my opinion. Other people may have a different one. Nakor 17:33, 30 May 2009 (UTC)
Oh, sorry. I haven't notice that right away. — Хинт 07:49, 31 May 2009 (UTC)
Long term edits and contributions from what I have seen of most bots that get the global flag have been in the 50,000+ edit range on many wikis. -Djsasso 13:57, 1 June 2009 (UTC)
O'key. See you later. I'll be back. — Хинт 14:05, 1 June 2009 (UTC)
Then I'll close this as Not done. Hope to see you back in a few months ;) Laaknor 14:09, 1 June 2009 (UTC)

Global bot status for <Rameshngbot>

The following discussion is closed.

Thank you! Rameshng " class="ext-discussiontools-init-timestamplink">11:15, 28 May 2009 (UTC)

Hello, is this now a request for global bot for "Rameshngbot" or "Rameshng" because in the template it says "user name=Rameshng", either way, IMHO, this is a no go, the bot account has 8823 edits on ml.wiki and 131 on en.wiki and nothing anywhere else and the non bot account also only edits on these two. Please see the requirements for global bot status, thanks for Your understanding, best regards, --birdy geimfyglið (:> )=| 19:21, 28 May 2009 (UTC)
This is the request for bot status for Rameshngbot. But I have understood your clarification. I will be doing some interwiki edits and later when it is comfortable and fulfill the minimum requirments of global bot, will apply for the globalbot status again. I think I don't have another way out! Thanks. --Rameshng 03:50, 29 May 2009 (UTC)
Hello , I have run the interwiki in other languages also. Now Rameshngbot has bot flag in ml, en and bn wikipedia. Also I have tested and running the interwiki in other languages where global bots are allowed. Request you to Approve the Global bot status after checking this. --Rameshng 06:50, 1 June 2009 (UTC)
I'd agree with Spacebirdy here. The requirement is for "long term running and trusted bots". With botflag on three wikis, there hasn't been enough wikis given you their trust, to enable botstatus on >100 wikis. Also, you should not run your bot on wikis that allow global bots, if you do not have global botflag yet. Please get botflag on more wikis (10-20 more wikis should probably be enough), and run your bot for a couple of months on that wikis. Laaknor 11:14, 1 June 2009 (UTC)
I am BAG (Bot Approval Group) member who approved the bot , Rameshngbot, in en.wiki after a BRFA. en.wiki BRFA have strict policies which makes sure the bot and the operator is trusted. The fact that the bot operator is an admin in ml.wiki and most wiki prefer to allow global interwiki bots than applying a specific approval for each language, I recommend the grant of global bot flag for the bot. Tinucherian 05:14, 2 June 2009 (UTC)
I oppose Rameshngbot getting the global bot flag. When I see edits like this one where correct links are replaced by incorrect links to disambiguation page, I cannot trust the bot. Nakor 13:22, 2 June 2009 (UTC)
I would like to say here is that, these minor mistake (which has been identified and reverted) happened in the initial stage of running interwiki.py and while running on manual semi automated mode. Now the interwiki.py is fully running in the autonomous mode. Requesting you to observe for one more week or some more weeks of the edits of my bot before approving. I am running the bot now with at most care. --Rameshng 04:03, 3 June 2009 (UTC)

No consensus to promote, please keep expanding to more wikis and running the service for a longer time and feel free to reapply in some months, thanks, best regards, --birdy geimfyglið (:> )=| " class="ext-discussiontools-init-timestamplink">22:04, 5 June 2009 (UTC)

Global bots implementation at jawiki

I'm not sure this is the right place for this request. Please add "jawiki" to the "Global bot wikis" wikiset. We, jawiki community, made a community-wide consensus (at the discussion shown above) to allow Global bots. Since we have our local ja:Project:Bot policy, jawiki should be listed in "global bots (without policy)" of Bot policy/Implementation as follows:

:* [[ja:Project:Bot policy|jawiki]] <!-- http://ja.wikipedia.org/?oldid=26160661#Global_bots -->

Thank you. --Kanjy 17:15, 3 June 2009 (UTC)

Not only ja.wiki, but also a number of wikis in Bot policy/Implementation is awaiting for steward approval... Rubin16 18:34, 3 June 2009 (UTC)
Yup I believe we are waiting on Pathoschild to actually turn the global bots on for those wikis. -Djsasso 03:52, 4 June 2009 (UTC)

Global bots on lb-wikipedia

We, lb-wiki community, made a community-wide consensus (at the discussion shown above) to allow Global bots. Since we have our local lb:Wikipedia:Bot#Regele_fir_de_Bot-Asaz, lb-wiki should be listed in "global bots (without policy)" of Bot policy/Implementation as follows:

:* [[lb:Wikipedia:Bot#Regele_fir_de_Bot-Asaz|lbwiki]] <!-- http://lb.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:De_Stamminet/Archiv2009/Juni#Ofstëmmen doriwwer ob 'global bots' bei eis automatesch de Bot-Staus kréie sollen -->

Thank you! Robby 22:40, 8 June 2009 (UTC)

Looks like this is the same as the above request, just need a steward to flick the switch and add you to the list. -Djsasso 14:10, 9 June 2009 (UTC)

Global bot status for DSisyphBot

Thank you! Sisyph 13:03, 9 June 2009 (UTC)

Notes: Plenty of inter-language link activity on plenty of wikis. Already has local bot flag on 9 wikis. Bot active from November last year. No blocks. Everything looks good to me but we still wait at least a few days. --Daniel Mayer (mav) 04:36, 10 June 2009 (UTC)
Hello, looks fine to me, though the bot edits only a few wikis, best regards, --birdy geimfyglið (:> )=| 22:23, 15 June 2009 (UTC)

Done, per no objections & consensus, best regards, --birdy geimfyglið (:> )=| 20:35, 17 June 2009 (UTC)

Global bot status for AHbot

Thank you! Ahonc 19:47, 16 June 2009 (UTC)

Hello, the bot has not many contributions (for a bot and compared to other bots that are usually granted gbot here), and few flags. I am a bit biased here because I 'know' the owner a bit and would support his request, but if it was another user I would probably put a veto. Best regards, --birdy geimfyglið (:> )=| 21:15, 16 June 2009 (UTC)
Agreed that this request is borderline given the relatively low number of edits and bot flags. But I'm leaning toward granting the request and will do so in a couple days if nobody objects. --Daniel Mayer (mav) 16:19, 20 June 2009 (UTC)
No objections, based on 'birdy vouching for the operator. ++Lar: t/c 20:42, 25 June 2009 (UTC)
Done several users supported the request, no objections in the past few days. --Meno25 23:49, 25 June 2009 (UTC)

Bot GrondinBot@sdwikinews

No opposition against my request since once month.--Bertrand GRONDIN – Talk 16:47, 9 May 2009 (UTC)

Hello, please let the bot have some edits other than the userspace, everything else looks fine, best regards, --birdy geimfyglið (:> )=| 17:28, 9 May 2009 (UTC)
Ok, I'll do that. You can see edits in other wikinews project : fr, pl, it, sv, sr, cs, de, nl, ar, fi, he, pt, bs, en, ja, zh, ru, uk, hu --Bertrand GRONDIN – Talk 17:59, 9 May 2009 (UTC)
Still only three edits on sd wikinews... --Daniel Mayer (mav) 01:48, 24 May 2009 (UTC) | No change.. --Daniel Mayer (mav) 21:13, 30 May 2009 (UTC)
This is roughly a Project-specific request for a global bot account -- for all wikinewses, I expect. How should we deal with those? We should be able to act more flexibly when handling such requests than when handling a first-time botflag request. And in general it might be useful to find bots that are active on more than N projects and discuss streamlining the process for their requesting a global bot flag. -- sj | help translate |+ 22:55, 1 June 2009 (UTC)

not done, nothing further heard, please reapply if the bot edits there, thanks, --birdy geimfyglið (:> )=| 14:16, 6 June 2009 (UTC)

Rubinbot@igwikipedia

Wiki allows automatic approval, bot is being editing since May, but there not many edits 'cause wiki's size. Thank you! Rubin16 10:16, 14 June 2009 (UTC)

Would note that there is a quota system there and you would not be elligable for the flag as it stands. I have proposed allowing global bots however which would of course not have to fall under the local flag quota currently in place. -Djsasso 21:47, 14 June 2009 (UTC)
Hello, the bot does not yet fulfill the bot policy as Djsasso noted, please either make >100 edits, edit for 7 days or open a request at a later time, thanks, --birdy geimfyglið (:> )=| 22:26, 15 June 2009 (UTC)
Why not fullfill? Either 100 edits or 7 days: the bot is been working since 19 May, today is 16 June. Am I wrong ? Rubin16 06:52, 16 June 2009 (UTC)
It did not edit for 7 days. Best regards, --birdy geimfyglið (:> )=| 12:38, 16 June 2009 (UTC)
