Strengths:

Breadth and depth of topics, detailed yet flexible study plan. Great range of easy to complex quant questions., as well as verbal questions covering all required topics. As well as detailed question breakdown, performance tracking, and a responsive support team.

Would make the product better:

Content for GMAT focus could continue to be refined as details of the focus exam are better defined.

I recently completed my GMAT prep with Target Test Prep and was thoroughly impressed by their structured course and exceptional support team. Their comprehensive materials and personalized assistance played a pivotal role in me achieving a 735 GMAT focus score. The structure of the test prep plan, boosted my confidence and significantly contributed to my success. Strengths:

Fantastic full coverage of all GMAT focus content (quant, verbal, and data insights). Each section was covered thoroughly with plenty of practice questions to achieve mastery in each section.

Would make the product better:

At times it feels a bit too thorough. I worked for months only to complete the first 10 missions and realized it was not sustainable. There was simply too much content to read through and practice questions to answer. I wish I had used TTP to fill in my weakest areas earlier on in my GMAT studying.

Overall Target Test Prep is in my opinion the best GMAT prep service out there. The course is designed to take anyone to a 705+ GMAT focus score with how thoroughly they cover each topic. I found the quant section on the actual GMAT focus was significantly easier than the TTP quant prep. While I was not able to complete even half the course with the 5-10 hours I set aside for GMAT studying each weak, I was able to identify my weaknesses and with the thoroughness of the TTP course was able to fill in those weaknesses. The many practice tests also allowed me practice my timing which proved instrumental in the actual test and allowed me to get the most out of the official mba.com practice tests by getting true benchmark scores without timing issues affecting my score.

Strengths:

1. Amazing lessons
2. A lot of practice problems to strengthen concepts

I got a 695 in GMAT Focus with the help of TTP study material. I used it mainly for verbal and DI as I was already good at quant.

I went carefully through all the CR and RC lessons and it helped me build strong foundation and the practice problems helped me strengthen the concepts.

I was able to apply techniques and get more questions right.
I used mock tests to analyse my learning and I saw consistent improvement. My score in mock went from 595 to 675.

I liked the text explanations to questions, they were detailed and thorough. Course teaches you the right way to attack problems and avoid tricks.

TTP is best if you want to improve your score.

Target Test Prep 1 Month Flexible Prep Review

Strengths:

The Quant study is very organized and takes a holistic approach to ensure that you address weak spots.

Would make the product better:

The data sufficiency questions could be improved upon to include logic-based questions as several of those showed up on the real exam.

This program is excellent for individuals who want to go through each topic in detail for the Quant section especially. With the surplus of questions, you can get more than enough practice for each unit and ensure that you are comfortable with all sorts of questions related to the topic at hand. A really neat feature involves creating custom tests such as only including questions you have gotten wrong or spent more than 3+ minutes on. This lets you filter through the overwhelming number of questions to address certain pain points and develop your quant skills.

I used this program for 1 month plus the 5 day trail before writing the GMAT Focus Test for the first time. I used the accelerated approach as I was familiar with some of the topics already and had somewhat of a decent quantitative foundation.

Strengths:

Structured perfectly. It's amazing to go through each chapter, do the practice questions as they come and then do the practice test phase at the end where you complete each level of practice tests. All in this makes you very prepared, I felt very confident going into the test.

Would make the product better:

Nothing really, perhaps some way to do a diagnostic and then only work on the sections in which you struggled.

Target Test Prep is the only course you need. After reading some Reddit reviews, I landed on target and I couldn't be more happy with my decision. When I initially wrote my diagnostic test, I got a 675. So I was already quite happy but I really wanted to push for seven M7. so I completed 100% of the course in 2 1/2 months I then wrote the rest of the practice tests on mba.com. I finished off with a 725 on the focus edition and I've gotten interviews at four out of the seven M7 schools. I strongly recommend target as I think the structure is perfect. They show you all the formulas and strategies you need and that someone who went in completely blind and only used TTP, I couldn't be more happy with the score I came out with.

None I can think of

This is a great course. It's got levels to select based on the score you're targeting, and I picked the highest tier. It's very thorough. It took a lot of time. I spent about 9 months on it, and about 500 study hours. If you want a hardcore review of basically any topic that might come up on the GMAT, then this program provides that. It can be challenging, but the GMAT is challenging, so I consider that a benefit. It also really helped me train up for the mental fatigue that comes with taking a test that's as long and demanding as this one is, which I assume will also be good practice for grad school.

Target Test Prep - An Excellent Fundamental Course

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]

Improvement 310 Points

Course Target Test Prep Dedicated Study

Location Online

Strengths:

This course is going to give you all the fundamentals you need to succeed. In particular, this course is going to strongly improve your Quant fundamentals, especially if it has been a while since you last took a fundamental Quant class. The product also has a great interface to follow you, so you don't need to do planning. You just need to give yourself the appropriate time to follow the course plan and if you do so, and are calculated in taking more time on topics you struggle with, the Target Test Prep course will provide you with the right topic coverage and guidance to succeed.

Would make the product better:

When I took the course, the GMAT classic was transitioning to the GMAT Focus and the Data Insights section of the GMAT was newer so the content in the course was limited in comparison to the rest of the modules. Nonetheless, it gave me everything I needed to make substantial improvements in Data Insights scores.

Target Test Prep is a great course. It is long and some complain about this but it is long for a good reason - it is thorough. Every fundamental I faced on the GMAT Focus, from all sections, I was exposed to in the Target Test Prep course.

Target Test Prep really thrives for those who are determined to do well, will stick with a plan, and avoid shortcuts (hint: there's no shortcut to doing well on the GMAT or any standardized test). In terms of a fundamental course that can be self paced and as someone who has traditionally never achieved an above average score on any standardized exams (grade school standardized exams, SAT and LSAT) and having taken different formats of prep courses (instructor led/self paced/hybrid), I can say with confidence for a self motivated individual who can learn on their own, Target Test Prep will not disappoint. I've never encountered a prep course that focuses on perfecting the fundamentals as much as Target Test Prep, and this genuinely paid off the most for me.

Some differences in my experience that will likely be different than others experiences include the following. I had a decent Verbal score to begin with because I had previously prepped for the LSAT and GMAT Verbal was somewhat similar to LSAT Verbal. Therefore, I had a bit of practice with similar questions. Nonetheless, I still improved my Verbal score between my first practice exam and the one Official GMAT Focus attempt I did. The last note is you must give yourself time to complete the course (or at least come as close as possible to completing the course). Admittedly, I did not complete the course entirely as I was in a time crunch to apply to my preferred programs before a due date. I spent 4.5 months between starting my Target Test Prep course and writing the Official GMAT Focus. If you don't complete as much of the course as possible, aka the fundamentals they introduce, you will likely be missing out on valuable fundamentals that you may encounter.

Strengths:

-Complete course, it looks to address every type of question and content.
-Specific orientation: it automatically designs a specific study plan according to your needs.
-Easy to follow: the recommendations and the study plan are there, it is up to you to follow it.

Would make the product better:

Could update the content faster: GMAT focus is constantly adding new content to the test. TTP does address this by updating the content they teach constantly. In my case, I had a few questions in the practice tests, which were not seen in the study plan. The plan was updated and such questions were included 3 days before the test, so I managed to check it short before the big day. Still, the course is enough to be very well prepared at test day, even if you have this kind of issues.

I come from Chile and I have an unconventional background (not math or business related). I had an injury that kept me for some weeks out of work, and I had to choose between watching movies and series, or doing something productive for my life. I chose the latter, and decided to give GMAT a first try with 6 just weeks to study. I had to do it efficiently and start studying in a disciplined fashion with a well structured study plan right away, and Target Test Prep was the solution. I had a "diagnosis test" within the course, in which I got a bad quant score... but by dividing the study plan's tasks in my available time, and having an intense routine, I was able to achieve my goal of getting a great score efficiently. I was worried about having to take the test a second time, due to having to study while working not being ideal, but it was fortunately not necessary. I did 100% of the "learning fase" of the course, and had to compress the "practice test phase" by taking 2 official mock tests a day, on the week of my test day. I was somewhat worried by having an initial 565 score in the first mock, but it was due to a bad time management. Practice gave me confidence, the quant part of the course gave me the skills I needed, and with the verbal and data insights sections I could understand the logic underlying those questions and face the test with a solid strategy.

The best partner for preparing for the GMAT Focus

The TTP GMAT Focus course was crucial in my preparation and ultimate success on the GMAT Focus. One of the most notable aspects of the course was how effectively it simplified complex concepts, making them easy to remember. The extensive practice provided was invaluable, especially in making test day feel manageable. The course offers a wealth of well-organized content, covering all the essential topics of the GMAT. The ability to take custom tests was a significant advantage, allowing me to focus on my weak areas and strengthen my understanding.
In particular, the course was very useful for consolidating my math knowledge. The large number of quant questions and their varying levels of difficulty were crucial in helping me achieve a score of 90 in Quant. The rigorous practice questions were often more challenging than the actual exam, which made the real test feel less stressful and more straightforward. This rigorous preparation was a key factor in my success.
Additionally, the course provides excellent strategic advice for test day, which I found incredibly helpful. The tips and strategies for tackling questions based on their difficulty level were particularly beneficial. They helped me approach the exam with a clear plan, ensuring I could manage my time effectively and answer questions efficiently.
When I first started studying, I was overwhelmed by the breadth of topics covered in the GMAT and struggled to organize my study schedule. However, the GMAT Focus course helped me structure my time and goals, guiding me on what to study and target in each session. This organization was vital in my preparation, ensuring I was well-prepared for every aspect of the exam.
Overall, the TTP GMAT Focus course is highly recommended for anyone preparing for the GMAT. Its comprehensive content, strategic advice, and rigorous practice make it an excellent resource for achieving a high score

Strengths:

The plethora of questions they have for each topic is commendable. Moreover, each question is bucketed topic wise and difficulty wise. Thus, giving the candidate fair idea on how they are performing.

Would make the product better:

Though the entire course is very helpful and really helped me boost by score, I found it a tad bit costly. Something that can be looked at especially for Indian candidates.

The Target Test Prep Course was really very helpful. I used it especially to strengthen my verbal and data insights. The materials provided for verbal not only taught me few tricks I should be adopting during the exam but also helped me get some fundamental aspects regarding each topic cleared. Also for each topic there are a lot of questions one can practice from. This gives the candidate enough exposure to GMAT like questions. Also, if we answer any question wrong, then the course allows you to choose why you answered it wrong. As you do this activity for various questions, it helps you identify what the most common mistake is while you are answering questions. Target test prep is highly recommended for all aspiring GMAT Focus takers!
