Hello Hamsterinho,

I hope you are doing well. Coming to your profile, you possess an impressive background with a variety of experiences, showcasing a strong academic record, relevant M&A internships, leadership in a finance-related club, involvement in the family business, and successful entrepreneurship with a profitable real estate start-up. Your time at a leading European business school during the exchange program, combined with a high proficiency level in English (C2), adds further weight to your application.

Both LBS MFA and HEC MIF are competitive programs that typically seek candidates with a well-rounded profile, emphasizing a robust academic foundation and pertinent work experience. Your profile fits well with the criteria of these programs, particularly considering your M&A internships and success in the real estate start-up.

Nevertheless, admission to these programs hinges on multiple factors, encompassing the quality of your application essays, recommendation letters, and your performance in interviews. It's crucial to highlight your accomplishments, leadership roles, and the impact you've had in various pursuits.

Moreover, articulating a coherent and carefully considered career plan in finance and demonstrating how these programs align with your long-term goals is essential. Convey your enthusiasm for the field and your dedication to advancing your expertise in finance.

Overall, your profile appears competitive for both LBS MFA and HEC MIF. However, the final decision will be influenced by the strength of your application materials and how effectively you communicate your qualifications, experiences, and future aspirations.

Best of luck with your applications!

Alright, guys here's my profile:
- Italian student. Not Bocconi. Top 10 uni. GPA 30.11/30. Took me 4 yrs to finish rather than 3. Had to do that to maintain my GPA. Compensated for it with a second internship in M&A.
- GMAT 700
- 2 internships in M&A. First ongoing, small boutique in Milan. Second will start shortly, Big 4, also M&A.
- Founder of the biggest finance-related club in my uni
- Fair bit of experience in the family business (non finance)
- Founder of a profitable real estate start-up
- Exchange in top 5 business school in Europe. Excellent GPA there.
- C2 in English

Now, I have applied so far to LBS MFA and HEC MIF. I wanna know what you guys think of my chances of breaking into these 2 programs! Thanks in advance.

You are definitely going to be a candidate for both programs. As noted above, you have the right components of a strong application. The key is putting it altogether in a nice package that sells your narrative cohesively and clearly. In short, that means well-articulated essays, a strong resume/CV, and good letters of recommendation.

Your GMAT score is more than fine - it won't be the reason why you get in or do not get in to either program.

Lastly, you might want to consider other programs too. Both of those are competitive and there is a randomness to this process that has to be taken into account. Nothing is a guarantee.
