Lawyer Hattingen

Lawyer Hattingen provides legal services to local, regional and global clients, providing advice on all areas of business law, including mergers and acquisitions, tax law, intellectual property protection, labour law, dispute resolution and international and domestic restructuring projects. The firm is regularly ranked among Germany’s top law firms, and its partners are widely respected for their excellent judgment and strong business acumen.

In the 12th century Hattingen was surrounded by the castles of Bruch and Blankenstein. The village was given minor civil liberties and rights to hold markets by Count von der Mark. This allowed the village to expand into a small town and its mayors and council started their first attempts of self-administration.

During the years following WWII, Hattingen experienced the consequences of the National Socialist regime just like the rest of Germany: Opponents of Hitler were oppressed and suppressed, many jews lost their homes, and in the so called “Night of the Broken Glass” (November 9-10, 1938) jewish shops and businesses were sabotaged.

After the war, Hattingen became a city again and developed into an industrial centre. The steel mill Henrichshutte formed the economic and social structure of the entire region for 130 years. Today Hattingen is a vibrant and attractive city full of museums, for example the Westfalisches Industriemuseum Henrichshutte and the Westfalisches Feuerwehrmuseum. The city also has an attractive shopping centre and multiple bank premises. In addition, Hattingen offers its visitors a variety of restaurants and cafes.Anwalt Hattingen
