- If you need help, post a question at the Help Desk
- Follow the Wikipedia:Simplified Ruleset
- Eventually, you might want to read the Manual of Style and Policies and Guidelines.

Good luck!
Lao script
Wow, you can type in Lao? It will be good to have someone here who can do that. Badagnani (talk) 08:36, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks! I am only a student of the language, but it seems desperately unrepresented here. Mostly I work over at Wiktionary, so I have a particular pleasure in linking up foreign-language words if it seems helpful. If there are pages you want me to look at, please feel free to let me know. Fair use rationale for Image:Amaryllisnightandday.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Amaryllisnightandday.jpg. You've indicated that the image meets Wikipedia's criteria for non-free content, but there is no explanation of why it meets those criteria. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. If you have any questions, please post them at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.
Thank you for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 01:08, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free media (Image:French lieutenants woman cover.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:French lieutenants woman cover.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:04, 9 November 2008 (UTC)
Ermengarde/Erembourg
Hi Widsith, we already had an article under Ermengarde of Maine so I merged the Erembourg info there. I suspect, as with many women from that era, her name was recorded in various ways and whatever she called herself might be unknown. Adam Bishop (talk) 21:23, 26 January 2009 (UTC)
- Dammit, I tried a few options to see if she was already here, but didn't think of "Ermengarde". Thanks for the nice merge job. Widsith (talk) 07:32, 27 January 2009 (UTC)
Proposed deletion of Ana Mirallès
The article Ana Mirallès has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- lacks references demonstrating notability
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}
will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. RadioFan (talk) 11:46, 6 August 2009 (UTC)
Lao romanization vote
Hi there, I am throwing in a debate about the romanization of Lao on the Wikipedia and would appreciate your input as a language-buff proficient in the Lao script. [[1]] Cheers, Rdavout (talk) 14:10, 25 December 2009 (UTC)
The article Cultural Amnesia (book) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- This is not even an article: it is more or less the table of contents for a book nobody has established the notability of in the last six months.

Image copyright problem with File:Djinn1.gif
Thanks for uploading File:Djinn1.gif. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check
- That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
- That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.
