User talk:Dossier~enwiki
A tag has been placed on "Kim Mcginn", requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be a biographical account about a person, group of people, or band, but it does not indicate how or why he/she/they is/are notable. If you can indicate why "Kim Mcginn" is really notable, I advise you to edit the article promptly, and also put a note on Talk:"Kim Mcginn". Any admin should check for such edits before deleting the article. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 7 under Articles. You might also want to read our general biography criteria. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. To contest the tagging and request that admins should wait a while for you to assert his/her/their notability, please affix the template {{hangon}}
to the page, and then immediately add such an assertion. It is also a very good idea to add citations from reliable sources to ensure that your article will be verifiable.-- SonicAD (talk) 03:18, 27 May 2006 (UTC)
- I included info about it being notable. Dossier 03:20, 27 May 2006 (UTC)
- I see that Kim McGinn has been deleted and marked not to be replaced in the past, so, unless you can provide good reasoning (only 53 Google hits for that name). Kim Mcginn will probably be deleted pretty quickly. -- SonicAD (talk) 03:25, 27 May 2006 (UTC)
- this must be a different subject. Dossier 03:26, 27 May 2006 (UTC)
You have recently created the article Kim Mcginn. This was deleted in accordance with Wikipedia's deletion policies. Please do not recreate the article: if you disagree with the article's deletion, you may ask for a review at Wikipedia:Deletion review.-- SonicAD (talk) 03:27, 27 May 2006 (UTC)
- This is a different person. Dossier 03:29, 27 May 2006 (UTC)
No, it's not, admins can see the content of deleted articles, and the articles are on the same person. Mak (talk) 03:31, 27 May 2006 (UTC)
- I mean, it must have been somebody else doing the article. Dossier 03:36, 27 May 2006 (UTC)
- It appears that that article was deleted because not enough info was found on the person. Doesn't the new article have enough info? Dossier 03:37, 27 May 2006 (UTC)
You need to provide explicit proof that meets the guidelines for notability. See Wikipedia:Notability (people) for the guidelines. -- SonicAD (talk) 03:41, 27 May 2006 (UTC)
- What exactly do you mean? The article explicity says that she is notable because of the various consultant work. Dossier 04:27, 27 May 2006 (UTC)
Your account will be renamed[edit]
Hello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Dossier. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Dossier~enwiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name. If you think you might own all of the accounts with this name and this message is in error, please visit Special:MergeAccount to check and attach all of your accounts to prevent them from being renamed.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell
