Suspected sockpuppets[edit]

The user is back to wreak havoc! Saqib (talk) 08:57, 14 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry - the SPI filed under the wrong title. Master is Yoyojojoop. — Saqib (talk) 08:58, 14 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
So the socks of Yoyojojoop have a pattern of editing pages related to Faisalabad and Pakistani lawmakers. Generally, socks of Yoyojojoop first tend to make minor, unconstructive edits - and do not make outright vandalism - but then they include obvious vandalism as well. In this case, User:Christmas, since the creation of their account, began by editing pages related to Faisalabad and then progressed to making minor edits to BLPs on Pakistani lawmakers. While their current edits are not pure vandalism but unconstructive so I felt it's important to note this account for the record as it could potentially escalate into vandalism sooner or later. Having said that, if a CU yields no connection, the account can remain unblocked, and I will monitor it for any engagement in pure vandalism. However, if it does, it should be promptly blocked to prevent future damage to BLPs and save others time. — Saqib (talk) 12:02, 14 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

IPs editing Draft:Chuadhary Sher Ali, a draft which was created by master account. It's fishy when IPs edit draft on some ROTM politician. IPs also editing pages which were previously edited by master account and/or their socks.Saqib (talk I contribs) 13:40, 22 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  • Hi Girth Summit, Just let me wrap my head around this. What am I being accused of here?
I have edited many, many pages over a fair bit of time, yes, pages of some past and present lawmakers, many of which, truth be told, were poorly put together, often unsourced and some with typos. I have also edited pages of articles of towns and cities big and small. That is all that I have tried to do.
If I have changed any pages I have done so only to improve the content and flow and fix typos. Christmas or not (talk) 15:18, 20 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Christmas or not, Just curious how did you find this SPI ? — Saqib (talk I contribs) 15:30, 20 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
For real, dude? I received all of these comments in my alerts. Christmas or not (talk) 19:01, 20 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Christmas or not, Exactly. Apparently you've this SPI in your watchlist which is suspicious in itself. — Saqib (talk I contribs) 19:29, 20 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It honestly isn't fair to blame me for these alerts reaching me. I am sure someone at Wikipedia can help explain why this is done. If I am getting this, then I imagine others accused of such things do too.
The main reason I can think of why these alerts have been shared with me is that Wikipedia wants to ensure transparency, fairness and does want people to be aware if they are accused of something. Christmas or not (talk) 20:49, 22 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Clerk, CheckUser, and/or patrolling admin comments[edit]

  •  Additional information needed - Saqib, you haven't actually provided any evidence here. I've blocked AqeelWakeel, who is  Confirmed to Yoyojojoop, but to justify running a check on Christmas or not I would need some behavioural evidence, which you haven't presented. I'm not familiar with the case - can you please spell it out? Girth Summit (blether) 11:31, 14 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
