Luka Topalović (born 23 February 2006) is a Slovenian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Serie A club Inter Milan.
In October 2023, The Guardian has listed Topalović among the top 60 best young talents born in 2006 in world football.[3][4]
Club career[edit]
Domžale[edit]
Following his impressive performances for Domžale's under-17 team, Topalović made his professional debut for the club in May 2022, aged 16 years and two months.[5] He extended his contract with the club until 2026 in March 2023,[6] and scored his first senior goal the following month, opening the scoring in an eventual 1–1 draw with Gorica.[7] In doing so, he became the youngest goalscorer of the 2022–23 Slovenian PrvaLiga season.[8]
During the 2023–24 season, Topalović established himself as a regular starter for Domžale, playing 35 matches and scoring two goals in the Slovenian top division.[5]
Inter Milan[edit]
In the 2024 summer transfer window, Topalović transferred from Domžale to Serie A club Inter Milan for an alleged transfer fee of around €1 million, and was assigned to Inter's under-19 squad.[9][10][11]
International career[edit]
Topalović's parents are originally from Kotor Varoš, which makes him eligible to represent Slovenia, Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina internationally.[12]
He has represented Slovenia from under-16 to under-19 level.[13]
