Zhou Quanxi (Chinese: 周全喜) is a Singaporean actor, best known for his supporting roles various television series, including Painted Faces, Five Foot Way, Samsui Women and Fury of the Dragon, as well as for starring in the 324-episode serial We Are Family.

Early life[edit]

Zhou was born the eldest son of a large family. As his parents were often busy at work, he learned to take care of his younger siblings when his parents were not available.[1]

Zhou initially worked as a salesman at a jewellery store.[1]

Zhou entered the entertainment industry in 1978 and first appeared in 青春乐.[3] As an actor, he frequently portrayed father-in-laws or grandfathers.[1] He had a supporting role in Pursuit, which aired in 1984.[4] In the same year, he appeared as a priest in The Young Heroes.[5] In 1985, he had supporting roles in The Coffee Shop, Takeover and The Unyielding Butterflies.[6][7][8] In the following year, he had supporting roles in Neighbours,[9] First Step,[10] Men of Valour,[11] Crossroads,[12] The Bond and Samsui Women.[13] In 1987, he had supporting roles in Painted Faces,[14] Five Foot Way,[15] I Do[16] and Fury of the Dragon,[4] appeared in an episode of the anthology series Strange Encounters 1,[17] and starred in Silk and Satin.[3][18] In 1988, he starred in Heiress, [19] and had a supporting role in Teahouse in Chinatown.[20] He also appeared in My Fair Ladies.[21] In 1989, he appeared in Magic of Dance and A Long Way Home.[22][23] In 1990, he starred in Finishing Line and The Village Hero.[24][25]

He had supporting roles in Guardian Angel. He portrayed an abbott in the wuxia television series The Legendary Swordsman, which aired in 2000. He shaved his head for the role and has remained bald since. His contract with the television station ended in 2001 and was not renewed.[2][26]

Appeared in How Are You? 2 [zh], Recipe of Life [zh] and Watch Out! Alexius.[27]

He starred in the comedy film Hot Veterans in 2023.[28]
