This page is not specifically about "company names". That section emphatically is about the lead. All company names are trademarked. MoS isn't about article titling. I can try to integrate some of the ideas in that edit that are based on actual consensus practice and see if other editors accept it without further discussion, but I'm skeptical. undo

No one is going to think this is a lie, and this is not an article, so a citation for something anyone can verify in 30 seconds via Googling for the company and going to their website is silly. undo

Cross-reference cleanup (incl. to new section heading at MOS:BIO, "MOS:BIOEXCEPT"). Semantic markup fix (illustrating the ampersand character is not actually an example of source code). Disambiguate "normal" (we mean "conventional English usage", not "common for this trademark in non-independent soruces"; obvious, but someone would wikilawyer it.) Link cleanup and other text/markup tweaks. undo

But it was correct that some of the wording (like "With the exception that immediately follows") was redundant or useless. undo

A) The first point is about "trademarks promoted without any capitals" so the second point is NOT an exception, it is an independent case. B) The second point was not accurate w.r.t. what is actually done on Wikipedia (see, e.g., macOS, tvOS, and pages that refer to those operating systems); I do have a suggested policy change, which I will bring up on the Talk page. undo
