Robert Moray

[edit]

I will remove Robert Moray from the list and place William Brouncker, 2nd Viscount Brouncker as the first president. All reliable sources I have consulted, including the Royal Society, calls Brouncker the first president. I think the confusion steams from the generally complicated foundation of the Society. It is true that "[Moray] attended the momentous foundation meeting at Gresham College on 28 November 1660, was chosen to preside at many of the early gatherings."(David Allan Oxford Dictionary of National Biography) But he was not the first president. "one of the only"

[edit]

What does "one of the only" mean? Either of "the only" or "one of the few" would make sense. 213.122.20.10 (talk) 18:41, 30 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
