Integrity Music is a record label and worship ministry that is committed to helping people worldwide experience the manifest presence of God through worship and taking songs of substance to the local church and its leaders around the world. Part of the David C Cook family, a nonprofit global resource provider serving the Church with life-transforming materials. With offices in Nashville, Tennessee (US) and Brighton, East Sussex (UK).

About

Founded as a direct-to-consumer music club in 1987 as Integrity Music, Integrity grew into one of Christian music's biggest success stories and helped ignite the widespread popularity of praise and worship music. Integrity Music's writers and worship leaders are committed to taking songs of substance to the local Church and its leaders around the world. These songs include “Great Are You Lord,” “Your Great Name,” “Revelation Song,” “Open The Eyes Of My Heart,” “I Am Free”, the No. 1 radio hit “We Believe” (Newsboys), “In Christ Alone”, “10,000 Reasons”, “Everlasting God”, “Here I Am To Worship”, “Blessed Be You Name”, “I Could Sing of Your Love Forever”, “Spirit Break Out”, “Guardian”, “Waiting Here For You”, “God’s Great Dance Floor”, “The Lion & The Lamb”, “Soul On Fire” & many more.

Integrity Music distributes materials in over 200 countries and their songs have been translated and recorded in numerous languages, including Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, Dutch, French, Portuguese and Hindi. Proceeds from the sale of Integrity’s (and David C Cook’s) products are combined with one hundred percent of charitable donations to fund ministry projects with international congregations and partners. Together, they join in co-mission to create, translate and distribute life-transforming resources.

History

In 1985, a small group of men and women from various Christian denominations came together to find a way of creating a continuous flow of Praise & Worship songs to the Church. It was their prayer that these new songs might play a small part in helping bring people into the presence of God. The result was “Integrity’s Hosanna Music,” the publishing imprint that would become the cornerstone of Integrity Music and the birthplace for tens of millions of recordings and resource products. Hosanna! Music is a subsidiary of a record label that publishes praise and worship music, a genre of Christian music. It is part of the Integrity Media, which was headquartered in Mobile, Alabama from 1987 to 2011.

The start of the Hosanna! Music series came out of a magazine publication by Michael Coleman and Gerrit Gustafson, New Wine Magazine, which simply featured an advertisement for an independent recording of a live worship service, Behold His Majesty, recorded in St. Louis, Missouri by Tom Brooks featuring Ron Tucker as worship leader and featuring a few names who would later become synonymous with the new praise and worship movement like Kent Henry and Leanne Albrecht. From the success of this recording, an idea was birthed, a new cassette series of live worship recordings. Individuals were approached with this idea, including long-time Hosanna! Music producer Tom Brooks, about the future projects. Hosanna! Music would go on to produce over 200 "live" and studio projects over twenty years. Famous artists featured would include names such as Kent Henry, Randy Rothwell, Don Moen, Billy Funk, Ron KenolyDarlene Zschech, Martin Nystrom, Paul Wilbur, Lenny LeBlanc and others.

By 1987, Integrity Music was officially formed and on its way to igniting the widespread popularity of what has become modern worship music. Since 1983, Integrity has produced the popular Hosanna! series of worship music. By 1995 the firm was publicly traded on Nasdaq under the symbol ITGR.[1] The company changed its name in 2002 to Integrity Media to better reflect its move into other markets. Also in 2002, the firm purchased the Nashville-based record label INO Records. This added to their artist roster, which already included Don Moen, Hillsong Music, Paul Baloche, and Israel and New Breed. The label also released the soundtrack to the film The Passion of the Christ[2] and the Time-Life advertised Songs 4 Worship collections.[3] In 2005, Integrity Music and INO Records began distribution through Sony BMG as part of the Provident Label Group.[4] Integrity also sells music, film and digital media via direct mail and Internet sales, as well as direct mail greeting cards through DaySpring/Hallmark.

In 2011, Integrity Music was acquired by ministry company David C. Cook.[5], the nonprofit organization founded over 140 years ago by Sunday School curriculum pioneer, David Caleb Cook. They became part of the Cook team in 2011, joining the seminal UK worship label, Kingsway Music, which was also part of DCC. Together, they are now one Integrity Music family. Integrity Music recently announced leadership transitions as Jonathan Brown assume the role of label President. Phil Loose, based in the U.K. and moves into Brown’s former role as VP/Managing Director of Integrity Music Europe. Jonathan Brown, known as “JB,” is a 25-year music industry veteran who began his career at Word Records in the U.K. before taking roles with Furious Records and Fierce Distribution where he was part of the teams responsible for building and establishing global platforms for artists like Delirious?.
