Oromocto is a town in west-central New Brunswick, Canada; approximately 20 kilometres southeast of Fredericton on the Saint John River. In 2001 the population was 8,843. The town is best known as the headquarters of Canadian Forces Base Gagetown, the largest military reservation in the British Commonwealth. It is also known as "Canada's Model Town".

Oromocto was originally a shipbuilding town in the 19th century, but after that trade died out the town started to decline. It was simply a small hamlet until Base Gagetown opened in 1955.
