English: Gamla Uppsala ("Old Uppsala") is a parish and a town outside Uppsala in Sweden. The function of Uppsala was once located to this location, but was moved in the 1270s. It was the seat of the Swedish kings before the Middle Ages and figures extensively in Norse mythology and legends.
