es.When 2 more rows have been worked plainly,the sleeve, with the exception of the trimming,is finished. This is the same as that of thejacket, and is worked all round the sleeve ex-cept at the top edge. The sleeve is then foldedso that the points of the trimming lie a littleone over another at the top, and is worked intothe jacket with a row of double crochet, theopen side of the sleeve being even with themiddle of the shoulder. To make the jacketmore ornamental, take 1J yard of gold andblack cord, and lace it through the loops fromthe under edge to the middle of the sleeve ;then put a black wool tassel at each end, andfasten the cord into a double bow. Instead of the gold cord, which is rather ex-pensive, yellow braid may be used. A smallgold gimp or ribbon may also be sewn round asa substitute for it; but this sometimes inter-feres with the elasticity of the outer edge ofthe jacket. « • > • > TABLE COYER BORDER BRAIDED ON CLOTH.
