Summary
[edit]DescriptionO one six cut and rolled jacketing.jpg |
English: "Oh-one-six Aluminum" (0.016" or 0.4064mm thick) is what this aluminium jacketing is called by North American insulators. It and "Oh-one-Oh Stainless" (0.010" or 0.254mm) stainless steel sheets are the primary metallic jacketing materials used for protecting friable pipe and equipment insulation. It is often supplied "cut and rolled", as shown here, so that insulators avoid time consuming field fabrication. This way, they just snap on and then strap on the jacketing that is already appropriately sized for the pipe being insulated. |
