Wikimedia Deletion Request

Hi, best regards. Thanks for your copyright concern. I’d like to note that everything posted on Geni is required to already be in the public domain, and can’t be subject to copyright. Since I got the image from Geni, I am sure it is in the public domain. I even provided the album that I got it from. Therefore, I am appealing your deletion request.

I don't see anything on that page on the material being in the public domain. Also, I am pretty sure that source is a copyright violation itself. And your license tag is just nonsense, that photograph was taken more than just a few years after 1929. --Didym (talk) 14:02, 27 June 2024 (UTC)

Hallo Dydym, ich habe mich mal wieder im Urheberrecht verheddert, bzw. den falschen Hochladeassisten erwischt. Ich habe ein Portrait von Paul Preuß von 1910, dessen Urheber unbekannt ist und auch nicht mehr rauszufinden ist. Daher wollte ich das Bild in der deutschsprachigen Wikipedia hochladen (da bereits mehr als 100 Jahre her), habe aber den falschen Knopf erwischt und jetzt ist es in Commons. Da sollte es nicht hin, da es noch keine 120 Jahre her ist. Könntest du bitte das Bild wieder aus Commons löschen, bzw. in die deutschsprachige Wiki verschieben? Das Bild heißt exakt: Paul Preuß 1910 vor Berghütte.jpg.

Beim zweite Bild (Paul Preuss an der Elmauer Halt.jpg) ist der Fotograph Fried Henning. Dieser ist laut Dave Smart 1954 gestorben, damit ist das Bild gemeinfrei.

Nach de verschieben geht leider nicht ohne weiteres, da bleibt nur neu Hochladen. Das zweite Bild ist leider noch nicht ganz gemeinfrei, das wird es erst am 1. Januar. --Didym (talk) 22:16, 7 July 2024 (UTC)
