As I have seen my work (mostly photos) been used in others peoples' works, most often without credit to me, or worse, claimed as theirs, and been told off when confronting them, I feel that I should make the following clear:
All my personal images and files uploaded to Commons are licenced under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International. This means that you, whether you are an individual or company with or without commercial goals, are more than welcome to use my photographs, maps, et cetera to share, adapt, remix, expand upon (as long as you do not overwrite my files) and redistribute the works as long as you give me credit for my work and indicate any changes you may have made. Work that you made, but is based on my work, must be distributed and used under the same license as the work you used. You may not claim the work as being your own intellectual work, nor may you legally restrict others from using, sharing or adapting the work.
This does apply to my own work, including but not limited to photographs, maps and illustrations. It does not apply to images uploaded by me, but found elsewhere such as archives.
If you use my work, then you do not have to notify me of this. I, however, do appreciate it if you would. This can be achieved either via my talk page or by sending me an email.
Thank you,
