You undid my revision about his date of death, which is stated in en:Arturo Farías. If you do not want to see this error to come back on wikidata, please correct the incoming project --Hsarrazin (talk) 10:40, 29 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Please refrain from removing valid links from items, as you did to Q2697607. Your edits do not appear to be constructive, and have been reverted. If you would like to test out editing, please use the Wikidata Sandbox. Thank you. --Vareloco (talk) 19:13, 8 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Vareloco: Transfertmarkt or other database sites couldn't be considered reliable sources. They collect data in the same way as Wikidata. An obituary or a newspaper article is required. Mastrocom (talk) 19:18, 8 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
No, that is not required here. We are not in Wikipedia. Here you have millions of deaths without any reference, in case you want to erase all of them. In any case, www.partidosdelaroja.com is a serious chilean website which bases the personal data on official certificates. And besides me, you reverted to two other experienced users, if you insist, I will have to report you. Best regards, bye. --Vareloco (talk) 20:12, 8 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Buongiorno. Allora sono sbagliati anche i dati immessi in "Paese di cittadinanza"? E anche quelli riportati qui? https://www.screenweek.it/stars/9479. --Manuela Musco (talk) 11:03, 21 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello,

this info was retrieved from the enwiki article, with linked source http://www.lovehardbikeride.org/gerry-becker.html ... could you please correct the article (en is not my native language) ? Thanks --Hsarrazin (talk) 08:55, 23 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Hsarrazin: Sources you used are pretty confusing: you reported he died on 30th April 2019 but this legacy has been published 15 days before. Plus link in object reports he was born on 1924, but the picture doesn't match with this declaration. We must use certain sources before stating someone's death --Mastrocom (talk) 09:05, 23 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't use these sources... I just retrieved the info from the article, and wanted to ask you to correct the article, since I'm not able to evaluate the provided sources :) - I know that "Legacy" is not a reliable one, but I don't know the other one... - You only removed the first mention of his death (in brackets), but not the sentence below, or the death category, which is confusing...--Hsarrazin (talk) 09:43, 23 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Hsarrazin: Your link reports a completely incorrect date of birth, plus there are no other news confirming his death. I'll remove the sentence in the text's body. --Mastrocom (talk) 09:50, 23 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
once again, these are not my links... I didn't write this article... I just mentioned to you that there were references for the statement in the article, references which I'm not able to evaluate... Thanks for correcting the article :) --Hsarrazin (talk) 10:00, 23 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Hsarrazin: I know, "your link" stands for "the link you reported in this talk's object" :) --Mastrocom (talk) 10:04, 23 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks

[edit]

Thanks for noticing the mistake on Q727304. I know why it happened and hopefully there shouldn't be any more errors like that, I just checked. Vojtěch Dostál (talk) 07:50, 3 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Revert of death dates imported from wp projects

[edit]

Hi, When you revert the addition of death date, which is specifically sourced as "imported from xx-wikipedia", please also correct the concerned project, or the erroneous death date will come back, sooner or later...

Thanks ! --Hsarrazin (talk) 07:39, 4 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, the source of the edit you reverted here, is the dewikpedia project, which tends to be reliable... their source being in arabic, I cannot read it... Can you please check it ? --Hsarrazin (talk) 09:22, 30 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Hsarrazin:, arabic media reported the news, but it has not been confirmed --Mastrocom (talk) 09:26, 30 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
if so, could you please correct the dewiki project ? thanks a lot ! --Hsarrazin (talk) 09:28, 30 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Call for participation in the interview study with Wikidata editors

[edit]

Dear Mastrocom,

I hope you are doing good,

I am Kholoud, a researcher at King’s College London, and I work on a project as part of my PhD research that develops a personalized recommendation system to suggest Wikidata items for the editors based on their interests and preferences. I am collaborating on this project with Elena Simperl and Miaojing Shi.

I would love to talk with you to know about your current ways to choose the items you work on in Wikidata and understand the factors that might influence such a decision. Your cooperation will give us valuable insights into building a recommender system that can help improve your editing experience.

Participation is completely voluntary. You have the option to withdraw at any time. Your data will be processed under the terms of UK data protection law (including the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018). The information and data that you provide will remain confidential; it will only be stored on the password-protected computer of the researchers. We will use the results anonymized to provide insights into the practices of the editors in item selection processes for editing and publish the results of the study to a research venue. If you decide to take part, we will ask you to sign a consent form, and you will be given a copy of this consent form to keep.

If you’re interested in participating and have 15-20 minutes to chat (I promise to keep the time!), please either contact me at kholoudsaa@gmail.com or kholoud.alghamdi@kcl.ac.uk or use this form https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdmmFHaiB20nK14wrQJgfrA18PtmdagyeRib3xGtvzkdn3Lgw/viewform?usp=sf_link with your choice of the times that work for you.

I’ll follow up with you to figure out what method is the best way for us to connect.

Please contact me if you have any questions or require more information about this project.

Thank you for considering taking part in this research.

Regards

Kholoudsaa (talk)

Etichette in maiuscolo

[edit]

Ciao! Dovresti evitare di scrivere nomi tutti in maiuscolo (come in Barnaba da Reggio (Q111498567), Marco Serraineri (Q111497787), Antonio d'Azario (Q111473621), ecc.).

Per approfondire, vedi Help:Label/it. Buon wiki, --Horcrux (talk) 09:35, 6 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Re [1], fr:Dušan_Cvetković says he died in 1952, you may want to correct it there if that's not right. Thanks. Mike Peel (talk) 07:07, 2 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

DBI Mix'n'match

[edit]

Ciao! Grazie mille e buona notte, --Epìdosis 23:00, 26 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Are you a Matlin?

Your item Floriano Toselli (Q110327210) hasn't been deduplicated until now: Floriano Toselli (Q110158398). Please be more careful!--Instabul (talk) 20:32, 20 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Instabul: Hi, you're right but it's hard to understand they are the same person when identifiers labels are totally different -- Mastrocom (talk) 07:13, 21 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Death dates

[edit]

Thanks for the reverts, it allowed me to correct some homonym mistakes on frwiki [2]. [3] [4]

But i'm not sure about the last two. For example, on [5], has a citation: [6] or it's an homonym? this one seams plausible too. -Framawiki (please notify !) (talk) 10:05, 23 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I am sorry, but Charlotte Froese Fischer really passed away on 8 February 2024 [7]. Please insert her date of death and this reference in wikidata. Thanks. 5.165.204.25 08:20, 5 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
