Hello, as in the taxon name (P225) reference on Myoxus lineatus (Q122492110), you can link to a particular page of the NDL persistent id item (in this instance, 1680203/1/9). Is it best to keep the format constraint on this property, and end up with the constraint violation warning? Thank you, Maculosae tegmine lyncis (talk) 05:26, 14 September 2023 (UTC)

The NDL Persistent ID represents "Digital content in the NDL Digital Collections"[1], not the page nor the part in that, so the property should be defined as such. However, the extended, slash-separated form is used as a part of URL, and explicitly presented on the web site for linking purpose. This form would be useful when used as a reference statement in order to link to confined location within the digital content. So I relaxed the format constraint for reference statements using constraint checked on references (Q46466805) & constraint checked on main value (Q46466787). Please note that the extended form should not be used as main statements, because it is not covered in the official document. Mzaki (talk) 12:16, 10 February 2024 (UTC)
